Been wondering about this for a while and cannot find answers anywhere.
How exactly does stealth/prowl work regarding level?
If I'm a lvl 28 Druid in prowl form, can a 70 Horde see me at a distance? Or do I have to be within melee before they detect me?

I'm not sure about any specific values, but I think level does make a difference.
A level 70 Horde wouldn't have to get as close to you as a Horde of your level to spot you, but I don't think you would be visible at a distance.

Your stealth is relative to level. A level 70 can see anyone level 60 and below almost indefinately. There is a distance factor when you are closer in level (within 5 levels) If an enemy of that level can detect you so can another player most of the time. But yeah a level 70 will DEFINATELY see a level 28. A level 65 and a 70, thats another story. You would have to be more towards melee range before they would see you probably. Unless they had stealth detection or you dont have stealth bonuses. If you are 5-7 levels apart they may see you sooner even.
If your sitting down they are less likely to see you. If you are in a battleground, in combat and close in level they are less likely to see you.
Not sure of the math, sorry.

ya, you can be seen very easily by a 70 horde, anything that apears lvl ?? to you, will be able to see through your stealth
