So, I've been wanting to change my avatar for a good while now. Unfortunately I'm stuck at a crossroads. I've created two pics that I like way more than the one I've got now, but I can't seem to decide between which one I should use. I've thought about doing one for a while and then switching to the other one, but I don't know which one to put up first. . . Your help is required. I need you guys to help me pick out which one you won't mind looking at for the next couple months. I didn't really didn't want to ask like this, but it's driving me crazy lol.
Anyways. . .
Pic 1 (error during upload, it's grainy. It's not supposed to be. Attempting a fix. Edit: Success!)
Pic 2 (some of you may have seen this one earlier)
Explanation of pix:
The first is obviously a take off the famous "no_profile.jpg" image. But, now it's more "demonic_school_picture.png". Originally it was too dark to be seen on monitors whose brightness settings were too low. I think I've remedied that and made the whole thing pop a bit more.
The second was taken in-game (duh) while jumping in the red beacon that shines out of the tower in GV. All I did to it were some subtle effects to make it more appealing to the eye. No idea if it worked. I'm not really much of an artist after all lol.
Any ideas/suggestions?

The first one is cool,But I can't tell if I'm suppose to see an Outline of a head around the eyes.
The 2nd one,the background (think that's a curtain) is to bright.
Other than that,There really cool,Great work!

That's what I was going for. But, you still should be able to see the head. =)
Edit: I think your Monitor's brightness is too low, but I'll try to make something that is more seeable yet still retains the shadowyness thing.

Darkened and buttonized accordingly.

Yep, the first one. The second one is a bit too blurry for me. The first one almost makes me scared of you. Well not really, but I wanted to say something nice.

It looks like most of you like the first one better. It's 4-2 in favor of the first one (if I'm reading Adoniis' right, otherwise it's 5-1). So I guess that's the one I'll be rolling out for the time being. Thanks so much for all your help and constructive criticism, it is very much appreciated!
