Well I went ahead and wasted my money on a game that will not go online.
Bought tonight. Installed tonight. Updated tonight.
Will not however play multi-player online. Refuses to create online user. Server ALWAYS refuses connection.
And before you ask, firewall is off.
Man I refuse to buy anything else from EA ever again... they are loading their software with so much BS stuff it is getting unreal now. I thought 2142 was bad... I could at least get it to go online rather quickly.

2 gig Corsair XMS2
GF 7600
on-board sound
Internet 10 Meg cable.
So what do I do? besides take this POS game back tomorrow and demand my money back.

What kinda (if any) error message do you get ? Do you have Windows Firewall on maybe ? Do you have a NAT router ? WIndows XP ? Vista ? You have update 1.41 installed ?
