Patron Accolades

Hi there,

By helping someone on their Patron arcs, can you receive the Patron Accolades for that arc, or is it only the character who 'owns' the mission who receives it?

i.e, can Character A with the Bloodletter Accolade accompany Character B on their Scirocco Patron Arc in order to get the Mirage Accolade as well?

Thanks!

nope, you would get the xp and all that but not the badge, you can only get 1 of the 4 patron badges on a character.

You only get your Patron Accolade when completing your own Patron story arc, not for helping someone else complete theirs.

RE: Patron Accolades

Big Question: Why are we able to take only one patron badge? With my new char i lvl pretty slow and take all the accompl badges that exist...I was hopping to get the patron accolades because they are from the coolest badges.
Why we are able to take only one?
Does it matter in-game if we choose spider's kiss that the other or stinger etc...?

Well, this is how the Devs have designed it.

The concept is that you choose one of the Patrons and become their student, per say. You are learning the ways of Arachnos from them and in return, they are teaching you their trade secrets (Power Selections). It's a mentoring type of relationship, well, until you defeat them and take your rightful place as the Chosen One!

You can never be mentored by more than one Patron. Once you choose one, you are bound by law, oath and respect to follow the Patron to the end. This is why it's important to make a wise decision because once you select one, that's it...you are stuck with them. Even if you did a Respec, you're still bound to take that Patron.

And the accolade is a show of alligance between you and your Patron, so you're only able to get the one they provide.

The Heroes can choose/rechoose all of their options via a respec, the Villains, on the other hand are bound to one and one alone.

RE: Patron Accolades

Not a problem, glad to provide the info.

Now, on which one is best....that would depend on the toon you built. Are you going for a theme? Are you looking for something to compliment what you currently have? Are you looking for more attacks?

Depending on what you want to do, that'll determine which is best for you. What's your build? maybe that would spark some ideas.

The Accolades provide no additional benefit than just being a badge to add to your collection.

Now, with a Necro/FF MM, You could take Ghost Widow as your Patron. She provides some holds for you and all the attacks/holds provide a -Acc debuff, which would compliment the /FF powers. If they can't hit you now, then the -Acc would only make them miss more.

RE: Patron Accolades

Well, BD, that's not entirely correct (as far as the Patron Accolades not providing anything special. They do unlock the Patron Power Pool for the specific Patron, and per Positron that is what an Accolade was designed to be. I would have to search out the quote off of an old interview with Posi in which he stated that 'an accolade badge was a special accomplishment that unlocked a particular power or item (including gladiators or costume piece)'. This hasnt proven entirely accurate as the first Anniversary badge unlocked nothing, but as we saw when the second Anniversary badge was awarded the combination of both badges unlocked the Fifth Column Gladiator. And of course the latest Hero Accolade (Stouthearted for Safeguard Exploration badges) unlocks nothing at this point, but that has been said to be the case because there needs to be parity between Villains and Heroes vis-a-vis powers available. If and when a new Accolade power is made available, that badge should unlock it and some new or other Villain specific badge should unlock it also.

Yeah, picking at nits. I know.
