Because light particles refract off of droplets of water located in the air and create the illusion that the sky is blue. Which it in fact has no color, it is the same principle as water, it isnt blue, its clear.

Of course, then you get down to the physics of your eyes and the way they receive light, and wonder if you are inside the Matrix. Or, in this case, a Paragon City of a different dimension.

Actually, The blue light from the Spectrum of Sunlight gets scattered by Gas Molecules as the light traves through the atmosphere.

becuse Blue has the longest wavelength of all the colors, and therefore everything in space looks blue because none of the other colors can reach our little, um, blue planet.
