I will be making a Tauren Hunter and plan on taming a Swoop to be my pet. Will he keep his swoop ability once tamed or does it go away?

only some ability of pet stay on pet after be tame
but you can always learn him more ability that you a learn from other pet (so changing pet often is a good idee)

You can be sure of which abilities your pet will retain before you capture it by simply using the 'Beast Lore' spell on the monster before you try to tame it. It gives other stats too, such as health, armor, etc. Hope this helped!

ive done the change of pet thing found out best to stay with one pet and let him bee tank level him to you level more fun dont need to get abelety from all animals.
