I went and saw it last night. OMG! It was everything I hoped it would be. Everyone should go see this movie. I cant stop talking about it today!

I have seen the cartoon of it which makes me NOT wanna go see the movie, but i have seen some awesome trailers about the movie looks nice.

It looks good, i never got into transformers so i wouldnt know any technical stuff about it but from all the trailers ive seen i wanna see it badly!

Yeah, I want to see it, too. It looks like one of those movies that even if the plot sucks, it will still be good because of the giant 3 story (pulled that number out of no where) robots fighting w/ each other.
Btw, how is the actual plot?

hmm yeah lol i first thought about that comic crap, i really don't like all that cartoon anime sorta thing which made me immediatly think the film would be bs. but then i saw the trailer on youtube, and well, it looks pretty nice! worth watching...

I thought the movie was visually spectacular but really quite predictable. It's also one long Chevy/ General Motors commercial. Live Free or Die Hard was more fun to watch!

Plot is predictable, but the nonstop action grabs ya and doesn't let go. The graphics are sick, and they throw in some really funny moments as an added bonus. The whole audience applauded at the end of the movie.

I loved it saw it yesterday and it was amazing, for those that care the special effects were down wonderfully, the robots look like they are real and not CGed, its funny and the plot is good giving reason for there being on earth, that and there are lots of big explosions for all the pyros out there :D

Hmm sory to say but Transformers IMOP aren't such a good movie, I likes is a Cartoon and Toy (Or used to ^^ ) but now when they have made a new movie.... I have seen it otherwise I woulden't post, so sory to say.. not the best

I havent had a chance to watch it yet but since I was also raised watching the original 80's cartoons, I definintely plan to go see this film. To think, its been over 20 years since I seen the first Transformer's film in theaters :D
The new transformer cartoons they show now just don't do the name any justice.

Optimus Prime: Autobots, recon.
That is a direct order, from me, to you all, to see this movie. I have seen it twice and I just have to tell you that no other movie has surpased my expectations more than Transformers if at all. Damn good.

Lol, I haven't seen the movie just yet, but I probably will get around to it sooner or later. The trailer looked interesting. I never got into the cartoon, but perhaps the movie is more entertaining :-P

I saw Transformer on a computer today, wasn't the greatest quality of course but it was by no means great. It certainly wasn't bad either. A nice surprise to see was that the preview DOESN'T show every ounce of action. So there's still plenty of Transforming goodness to enjoy.
Of the newer releases I'd recommend :
1408 - Very well executed with an ending that doesn't live up to the build which is not at all surprising for movies like this.
Live Free or Die Hard - Great movie, on part with Die Hard 3, less good than the first, far better than the second.

Alot of the fans of the old show are leaving this film dissapointed and even angry... yet I'm probably a bigger fans than most of those you can find bitching about the film and I left it thinking it was a brilliant film, finding itself a place umongst my top 5 films of all time.
Am I just more accepting, or more forgiving than most? Maybe... but when you look at Generation 3 and 4 or the new CG crap that lines Cartoon Network... you come to the realization that Transformers could be alot worse, especially considering the film wasn't bad at all. I think most people don't notice that.
To be honest, I think this was the best Transformers story since the 1986 theatrical film, which was also hated by many fans (thoguh later embraced) due to its major character deaths (including Optimus and Megatron umongst others).
Anyway, basically... if you loved the cartoon, you may or may not like this film... if you didn't like the cartoon or have never seen it, then you will definately like this movie. The only people I've heard complain about it are purist fans (who need to be slapped) and some critics... who are critics and really shouldn't be listened to anyway.

I also grew up watching the original cartoons and i can't wait to see it.
in regards to those who leave disapointed and angry, thre are always some who goes overboard "(dude that movie sucked optimus prime is supposed to be a different shade of red) " or something stupid like that. The same thing happed With LOTR, and those movies owned. There will always be people who complain about something.

I was pissed about that too, but the movie still owned. As for Starscream, he wasn't that big of a player in the film, so who really cares how many lines he had... I mean, he was teh last one shown in the movie, so he got something, right? LOL.
But yeah, that Jazz thing was really the only thing I didn't like about the movie.

WOW i just saw this movie today and thought it was great. Some ppl say that they dont wanna see it cause the tv show was stupid, but seriously dont base your decision on that its really worth the while with awesome graphics, a nice storyline, and a couple of jokes here and there.
BTW: the chick in the movie is SO HOT OMG

I saw it yesterday, It was a good film. :-) I liked it. the graphics were well done, and the story was more interesting then the one on the cartoon. :-P Imo. It was well done. Good film ^^

Because, most likely, they are noobs whom are too young to have grown up watching transformers every saturday morning. And yeah, to base a live-action film with obnoxious CGI effects on an almost 25-year old cartoon show is just kinda...wrong...
