What's your best build?

I'm thinking of rolling a Ninja/?? MM and want to know what everyone thinks is the best secondary for them.

First off, I don't have the highest thoughts of Ninjas, but decided to give them a whirl, because i'm in this "trying new builds" thing now.

I've already tried the /DM, /Poison secondaries...

What is a good Secondary and Build for the Ninjas?

RE: What's your best build?

My first and probably still dearest villain is Yuki Sagamoto, a Ninja/Poison MM. I don't really know what you define as best, but for me it is absolute the best MM combo around. It is so cool that I am this tiny Japanese girl without any attack powers. And still I rip through all missions like no other. The 100% successful healing and debuffs really work wonders. And of all MM pets the ninja's are the less noisy and view/passage blocking characters you can have around.

Probably my build is not really what you are after, but I am quite happy it. In the past I have complained several times I thought she was actually too powerful. Now at level 36 she is stalled a bit, but that is because I saw the need to play a woodelf in Telon.

I rolled a Robotics/Traps MM before, only got to level 22, but it was fun, but i didnt like how the MM worked, wasn't my style.

Mercs/Dark

Slot Dark Miasma's heal with Recharge Enhancements, set yourself to bodyguard mode, you're hard to kill.

:( The sad part about it is I'm trying to get the debt badge so I can eventually get 10% additional HP (A little helps, so why not?). I didn't get my first debt badge until I was around level 35. Lately I've been killing myself and tagging along with the lower leveled members of my VG.

Though--AoE (mainly fire attacks in PvE) are the bane of my existence. It really hurts my Soldiers (the first pets). Course the other three generally make it out alright.

I've haven't seen /Trick arrows but I know from experience that it works well as a Mastermind secodary. The only downfall is that you don't have a heal power,so you'll have to be extra cautious.

RE: What's your best build?

Thanks for the feedback...

I think I'm leaning towards Ninja/Trick Arrow or Ninja/Bubbles...

Which one would be better? I know neither one has a heal, so this should be very interesting to say the least.

I highly dislike Force Fields after having played a Robotics/Force Fields Mastermind. In my opinion it's a very boring powerset, with quite a few useless powers.
Now Trick Arrow is a lot more useful. At least you get the ability to actually DO something in battle, except spamming Aid Other.

Yeah,I agree with Aurrius. With Trick arrows your able to debuff and hold while your henchmen fight.

Forcefield isn't to bad, sure it's boring to play with but soloing it could be useful to keep you and your henchmen alive.

RE: What's your best build?

pffft Trick arrow is practically useless in my mind. The MM is supposed to be a class where your toon just buffs/heal while your pets attack/debuff. That is what I think the essence of the MM is.

Well, not everyone likes to be left out of a fight...hence the reason there are actual attacks available for the MM. Buffs and Heals are part of any MM (if they have a heal that is), however, getting in the mix a little is not out of the question either...

I think, once I get a PC again **sigh**, I will try the Ninja/Trick Arrow. Maybe put a Shogun theme around it...as I really like to have a theme to my toons :)

RE: What\\\'s your best build?

i think that you should roll out a Ninja/Traps. I find that traps is a very nice secondary, with a lot of buffs that keep you going during the fight. I agree with you aswell that I don't find ninjas to be the most outstanding primary, but I have started my ninja/traps and it seems to be gonig well here's a guide that you could follow if you're not that familiar with this set:
