Ok so I usually roll on the lighter side of things and was testing some powers out in WB with my tank, and happened upon two stalkers Jumping around like crazy people lol anyway they attempted some stuff on me but quickly decided against it i guess and proceeded to take out the other heroes quite efficiently. I was really impressed.
So the wheels in my head begin to spin turn and twirl and i am curious how hard is it to roll with a stalker in PvP?
course i feel if i ask this on the other side i will prolly get abunch of "stalkers cheat" comments so i figure i would cut out the middleman and ask your guys' opinions.
Now I have played stalkers before in PvE and got kinda bored with them. actually to be quite honest kinda getting bored with the whole PvE thing anyway. So i am still learning the whole PvP thing.

If you roll Energy Melee/Super Reflexes with Speed pool, Concealment pool, Fitness pool (of course), and Medicine (for Aid Self) pool, you'll do fine. Energy Melee has the heavy burst damage 'required' for PvP, Super Reflexes has the defence 'required', and Aid Self will give you a heal. Just sneak up on your enemies using Hide + Stealth/Invisibility, switch off Invisibility if you were using that one, Stealth on, Build Up, Assassin's Strike (if possible), and finish off with an Energy Transfer + Bone Smasher. Total Focus is 1) Not available in Siren's Call yet and 2) probably a bit too slow?.
Super Reflexes' Evasion combined with Hide will give you plenty of Area of Effect defence to be able to dodge all those Quills, Blazing Auras or Icicles - or whatever people are using. Good luck!

BAH! Stalkers don't cheat, we're just that darned good :)
But seriously, if you want to PvP effectively with a Stalker, you can try out Eneregy Melee or Spines (both have attacks that are not that resisted, Energy and Toxic) for your primaries, and then there's Regen (replaces taken damage at a higher rate), Super Reflexes (avoids a lot of damage) or even Ninjitsu (takes more skill and patience for this one) for secondaries.
Play around with the combo's as you see fit. The one thing is, EM may deal more overall damage than Spines, but Spines has more ranged attacks. So you go with the one you feel best suited for.
some Pools you'll want to try as well:
Concealment: stealth and/or Invis (both stack with Hide for those that have +perc)
Medicine: this is needed if going with SR. you may not get hit alot, but if you do you'll need to replace that health quickly with heal self.
SuperJump: if going with Ninjitsu, you'll need this for acrobatics seeing no knockback defense comes with the set.
SuperSpeed: Hasten....nuff said!
Fitness: do i even need to mention this or why it's needed?????
Since you can only have 4 Pool Power sets, choose wisely. select the options that best compliment your build.

huh?
why would you roll /sr? its better than /ea. and /dark, but it is still not good at all in PvP. seriously.
Yellow inspirations. Geas of the Kind Ones. Focused Accuracy. Half the emp buffs. They will all chew through every single power you have, including Elude, your tier 9.
If you want to survive in PvP, arena or zone, roll /regen or /ninjitsu

Ok so I went with NRG/NIN
NRG - mainly cause it does the most short burst dmg and since my perception of the AT is get in do what you need to do and get out i feel it fits well.
Ninjitsu - Just reading over the powers that can become available I see them as versitile and helpful not to mention the AoE placate thingy (if i read that one right ((smoke flash i think it is called))
So I have got a whole new appreciation for all you stalker players out there, this is by far one of the hardest toons I have begun to build. There is so much that i want to accomplish with this toon and there are also certian things i feel i need to take that conflict with my normal instincts of branching off into one of the other pools.
Does anyone have a sample nrg/nin build that i could use as like a refrence that preforms well in PvP just to make sure i am doing this correctly?

I really do like the /regen as a secondary myself. My stalker has it and is nearly unstoppable in both PVE and PVP. Sadly though I took blade as a primary so he doesnt do the high burst damage like an EM would do. But the blade does do some nice defense debuffs just not enough to make up for the lost damage

nice Thank you needed kind of a guide but also wanted to make sure i wasn't stupid by not taking fitness till 16 now i feel better.

I also run a Claws/regen that i have had for over a year lol just got him to 14, regen is nice. Just never played him cause at first glance, i originally thought stalkers were easy to play hide kill run away.
However trying to build one correctly past 10 is a bit harder, fun to play too, IMO. I never really gave them a chance.

If your going to pvp you'll need stealth, and you'll need to get the +stealth invention enhancements. Save your money because they cost and arm and a leg. I got one for 5 million infamy.
