Ok, to start off im a World of Warcraft fan, I've played for a few months now and have decked out my character in full teir 4 gear from raiding. Anyways the game has gotten pretty boring for my guild isn't advancing much, so I turned to look for a new game. This led me to Lotro, This game seems alot like WoW, somewhat same concept but definately a diffrent playstyle. To get to the point.. I have a few questions about this game that id like to be answered by person opinion.
Interface/Ingame Features:
-Is this game anything like WoW if you have played?
-I realize this game hasn't been out nearly as long as WoW, but are the features(Playstyle,User Interface,Player and Enviroment) actions unique?
-Are there a good deal of skills to go along with each Race/Class choice?
-Getting back to the playstyle, Is it more of an RPG with a set goal end game, and once you reach that goal is there really any point to play besides working up skills?
Leveling:
-Is it easy, or is getting to level 50 a walk in the park?
PVE/Gear:
-Is there alot of PVE(Player vs Enviroment).. By saying this I mean raiding, going up against tough bosses, that require unique strategies and alot of team participation to defeat and get the best gear in the game?
-Is it easy to achieve gear, by this I mean.. Is it just go here and get this BAM your done, heres your gear. Or does it require countless runs and a luck bases situation whether or not the thing you want drops off the enemy you kill.
PVP(Player vs Player):
-Player vs. Player combat, are there factions? can you randomly just spot and Orc Player, and start killing him?
-When engaged in PVP is it instence, Like anything can happen. Or is it he swings, Player A Blocks, Player A crits, Player B Dies?, Is it random and exciting? Can you get jumped by a burgalar, start fighting. Have the burgalar vanish from sight to stun you again?
Professions:
-Are there alot of professions that are in depth and allow you to craft alot of usefull stuff that wont be replaced easily. How many Professions can you have?
Cost:
-And of course, I know theres a Disk fee you have to pay to buy the game, but do you have to pay monthly to play?

i'm in the same boat as you :P
i'm burnt out on WoW raiding isnt what it used to be and it isnt as much fun anymore. but to answer a few questions that i think i may know.
Pvp: none ( dont think so at least or not implemented yet since there is no real point i guees. )
Pve: i've heard mixed feelings about leveling and stuff. some being easy and others being long and difficult.
as for a level cap i have no info on that and i'd like to know that too if anyone has reached it :P ( probably by now since the game is a few months old now. )

What about just try to buy it, or get a trial ??
Are people so poor that they cannot afford a game, and if they don't like it, throw it on the shelves.
I'm a bit tired of people who won't take any chances. We all need to take risks in our life, don't stop buying it from what other people says (GO AND BUY IT)
I have myself bought a game, which i didn't liked, and now it's on my shelves.. I'm not crying about the wasted money.
