Help Game amp we need to stop spam

Dear game amp,

I am a simple guild wars player. I love this game ever since the game came out and I would not be a online gamer if i never got this game. (long story) The community is great but the biggest problem in this game needs to be crushed once and for all! Let me start by saying that the people of the game community keep requesting anet for a auction house. I don't get why they don't realize that they have one. A-net came out with the greatest idea for guild wars to make every thing easier for people to do stuff, such as make parties, trade stuff, or go out side and just kill stuff. this was the search bar. By click the search button right under "kick" on your party list you open up the greatest and most misunderstood invention that the anet team made.
This includes the following options

1.Trade: This option allows people to see what you are trading and how much you are trading for. If people started to use this option we will no longer have people spamming in general and in trade chat and we could even elimminate the trade bar for good. This is really easy to use just click "p"(default) to open the serch bar and look for what you want to buy. If you want to sell something or show people that you are trying to buy something type in what you want to buy in the upper right hand coner of the window. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS OPTION WHEN TRADEING OR BUYING!

2.Guilds: When your in a town and want to talk to people about whats going on and how its going for them... but you cant. People spam trying to recruiter for there guild hoping that people wont get annoyed and want to join there guild. In the search bar people will be able to see you guild and read the specs and see if it the right guild for them. If guild recruiters start doing this we will be able to talk freely with out lots of Spam stopping us. PLEASE ALSO CONSIDER THIS OPTION WHEN TRYING TO RECRUITE FOR YOUR GUILD

3.Quest/Missions/Hunting: The game of guild wars has become a very independent game because of heroes and henchmen. But you can always get a group with people in your guild. But what about other people that don't have a guild or the people in there guild don't want to play with them at the time or do that mission or hunt or do quest with them. They are forced to do all the quests with either really nice people that offer to go around doing quest with them or henchmen of a mix between heroes and henchmen this is very frustrating seeing as how the AI in guild wars isn't the greatest AI in the whole world. By using these option you could make it easier for people to find you then to having to Spam people with LFG OR GLF. Its really easy you could even put in the quests you want to do so that they could see if they want to do those quests to. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS OPTION BEFORE GOING OUT TO DO QUESTS AND MISSION INSTEAD OF GRABBING HENCHMEN REAL FAST TO GO KILL STUFF.

FOR ALL THE THING LISTED ABOVE: the search party lets every one see in every district what you are trying to sell/ do and makes it very convenient for you to go to that district and talk to the guy to buy or sell a item or even just get them to join your group so you can do a quest with him/ her.

I know that one person can not change the world in this game but if you guys join me we could get people to start using this great invention and stop spamming all the channels making it hard for people to relax and have a great time. You can do this by doing the following

1.Sell something but in trade say something like “Selling items look search bar for details” and thats it and people will start to look in there it will make it very easy for them to trade sell.

2.Tell people that if they want you to buy there item they will have to start posting it in the seach bar for people to see instaed of spamming.

3.telling people about the wonder of this new object you would not believe how many people would think its just a thing that they put in and has not value just send them hints.

I know that i cant fix all the problem by my self but you guys of this community and of all community's spread the word. If none of you are willing to rally with me then i will try to do it on my own. I know that i am not a huge active person in the game amp community but i get on to share what i know because i cant do that in genral chat. Thx for any help you give.

P.S. A-net has done so much for the guild wars community and we only ask for more why dont we do this for them to make it easier for them so they dont have to keep working so hard to make the game better than it alread is.

Short story short, spam will continue, although it doesnt happen as much in All Chat. Most is in Trade Chat, which I always have off. Your just dreaming too much mate. =l

All-Chat spam has really dropped ALOT in the past month, and anet took the right measures to cut that spam down alot.

please but you must realize the even if you help you can change this but like i said you dont have to help. as goes for the dreaming tell gandi that.

why cant we fix it, do we have to wait for anet you? know it takes one to start a revolution, all you need to do is help. dont just sit back and wait for anet.

Hey, I agree with what derek is trying to say. I've gotten really tired of people posting about their guilds and parties in all chat. I would really love to see if not 100% participation in this at least 50% it would cut down on spamming even more.

Anet has done so much for us, Cant we do something for them?

Sure, there has been a little people cutting down on the all chat spamming but I still get really annoyed by people spamming "LFG" or "GLF" or those annoying guild advertisements.

my chat for loacl is full or running and items and guild inivtes where is the freedom from spam. and for the record anet stopped banning after 3 days it ways a way to scare people, now there comming back it wasnt perminet.

i agree and disagree

first of all i dont know y people spam recruit. recruits picked up by those dont last long. but the fact is people spam the trades cuz its like commercials. we all use towns to change places, sell items, etc etc. people spam ther so when someone is walking to the merchant it may catch ther eye. the best way to stop this spam is turn off ur trade, and ur all (sumtimes emotes). altho its good to put ur trades in the search, sum people use both. i agree that search shud be used, but spam is also a small part of the game and easily avoided turning off certain chats.

totally agree that the spam iscut but not enuff as shown in the screen shot people still spam.and i dont understand why people cant put it in the search window for trades and what not it coversALL DISTRICTS in that zone for example if your in La and your spamming WTS Blah blah your only reaching that district instead of posting it in search if ther is 3 districts or even 2 you letting the outher districts know that you have somthing to sell or trade or your looking for people.But NO you have to spam it OVER AND OVER again in a zone that has 3 or less people in it. The ban should be permanet for theses people.You got your auction house now use.I dont wantot hear BUt it not a auction house.

It'd be great and all to be able to use the search bar for trading, but fact of the matter is, its just too darned short and people are unable to fully describe their items the way they can in the trade channel chat. Maybe if A-net increased the text amount just for trade in the search bar I'd be in support of your idea. But, again, fact of the matter is for traders (including myself) the search bar doesn't cut it, especially when we want to sell more than one item, or an item that needs detailed deion. I use the search bar when i can, but that's usually for 1 out of ten items I'm selling. And its rare when i can simplify my deion to less than 15-20 letters/numbers/spaces/punctuations.

If you simply don't want to put up with the spam in trade, thats what the little check boxes on the top of your chat window are for. Un-check the box and viola, no more spam for you.
