Containment

Why does everyone think pool power attack powers are effected by the controller containment inherent. Containment only effects primary and secondary power attacks. This can be tested by clicking on the battle tab in the chat display.

It does affect Pool Powers. I have Air Superiority on my mind troller and when I have a guy held, it does double damage.

I'm with the Big guy on this one. I play several trollers. The pool powers are affected by Containment. The VR powers like Sands of Mu and the Axe are not though. Not sure of temp powers though.

also, if i use, say, Blind, then Spectral Wounds, does it do double Spec Wounds damage or an extra hit of Blind damage and a hit of Spec Wounds?

Once they are held the "double" damage kicks in.

So by doing Blind first (which would hit for single damage), the Spectral Wounds would be double. as would every hit thereafter as long as you keep them contained.

For example, on my mind/Rad troller. I hit them with a sleep, then dominate (which holds them (and would be double damage)), then hit them with Lift (also for double damage and they stay held).

But if I hit them with sleep, and miss with Dominate, then hit with Lift (which would be double damage). That would wake the villain up and the next attack would be single damage again.

Bottom line... Be careful when attacking with your troller to make sure your attacks keep them held to keep the double damage going.

Yes. Containment causes double damage on any successful attack (non-temp, non-VR). This includes PBAoE powers. One of the things that makes a Fire/Kin troller so deadly is that you can hold a group, Fulcrum Shift, and Hot Feet the crap out of them.
