In the last few days, I've noticed a huge increase in the drop rate of these. It lists them as a rare crafting material, but to the best of my knowledge, there isn't a use for them.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I've decided to keep them, in case there is a use once, GW:EN comes out.

arnt they used for necromancers armour?
havent really niotived a higher drop but i havent been around afflicted in ages

I have also noticed that these seem to be quite a common drop off the afflicted

They drop more recently, no idea, i prefer Claw's, cause if im not mistaken, right now the market price for them is very high.

Yea :) but bit dissapointed in the price decrease of ecto's bit unforunate for ppl who have many :(
Will th price ever increase u think??
IMO i beleive it will not :(

i'd say its just that its summer theres more time, so with the more time the get more uw runs in and prices drop

Well yea ectos prize will go up if for examble solo builds for uw get nerfed etc.

So what would u say about weapons that are more than 100k and ecto's have to be used?
Would they ask 4 more ectos or do u think ppl havent realised :P

I got a monstrous Eye about a few minutes ago and U get more money off those things from sellin 2 Merchant that U can rare Crafter. So i choose Merchant

I have seen a big increase not only for me but for other people in my party. I've been doing Viz Foreign and Local and Nahpui Quarter in Cantha and I've seen at least 20 of em drop spread over the past couple of days.

Crafter will always pay at least as much as the merchant.

Well i got a Claw...worth 100g at merch, 700g At Rare Crafter.
