Love questing but the questsystem s*cks

How the hell can ya see the lvl of a persone in your friendslist. Very frustrating to ask every time "whats your lvl" "whats your lvl" WHATS YOUR LVL, *blackout

Secund: I thaught: I just do the radio missions first in Port Oak and then the rest... well I was screwed like hell :( Seems afther some research that O out leveled 2 - 3 contacts -_-
I love questing and follow the storyline so this was a really slap in the face >< Is there a methode to do still the quests ? I tried with with joining lvl 9 and he malefactored me. It didnt work... we still got lvl 13 mobs and I still got ignored by the skipped contacts *sigh

So I am so happy to tell ya I am so pissed like hell :p

Use the search feature to find their level and roll out an alt to get any content you missed.

Also: The Troubleshooting Forum is usually used for technical issues, not general questions you could easily find the answers to by simply asking in the in game Help Channel. Just for future reference.

Well, to be fair, CoV is NOT designed to handled in a linear fashion. You'd have to earn a TON of debt each mission to slow your leveling rate to a point where you could get every contact and totally complete their mission arcs.

Even in that situation, I still think you'd miss a contact or two. But, given that the story isn't just one plotline, you're simply not meant to experience EVERY SINGLE mission and tiny bit of storyline.

You can go back and do the contact arcs Malefactored, but that's about it. As a matter of fact, you'll probably need to do that if you're a badgehunter. I know it was really tough for me to get them all in after the fact. I was still new to MMO's at that point, so wound up getting my highest available debt badge in the 30's--and still had to malefactor to get some contact badges.

I've never had an issue getting all the storyline content. Now, the thing here is, you have to do your missions solo at the lowest difficulty setting, in order to do this successfully.

And if you outlevel a contact, you can just find a lower level with the contact you want and do their missions.

Then again, if you missed something on the first pass, you can always roll an alt and pick up what you missed. That's what i did with some of my contacts.

I'd agree you'd stand a better chance getting all content doing all missions solo on the lowest difficulty setting.

However, it's...just not why I'm into an MMO. I like teaming, so I try to do as much as I can at low difficulty, and debt farm a little to keep my level down, so I can keep the contact arcs.

On the global friends list, there is a little arrow in the bottom right corner that expands the list and you can see what toon the person is on, as well as server, AT, level and map.

As far as server friends, I dont think you can.

I agree with what the other said. If you are trying to get all the contacts and mishes you will have to play at the easiest difficulty and solo alot. Another way is to make sure you head to Port Oakes as soon as you hit level 6 and do only the first three paper mishes do the mayhem to get your wings and then hit the regular contacts after that. be warned though you have to start the contact before hitting level 8 to get the badge missions. Unfotunately it is very hard to get all of the contacts with the badge missions the only other way is to team with someone who has the other contacts so you both get the story arc's before you out level them or by sending a broadcast in the zone that the mission you want is in asking if anyone has it and can you join. and as Mzzkc said you can always join the Gameamp global chat channel to ask questions while in game at any time.

On the topic of Story Arcs, are there any interesting Arcs aside from Seer Marino for the teens to the twenties? Got to be honest, I have a lot of alts and none of them really peaked my interest. Now the Arcs in Sharkhead and Nerva are pretty cool but there seems to be no "Hook" or "Inspiration" if you will to keep some players interests a lot of my friends play CoH and I attempted to lure them over here by telling them about the cool Story Arc i just picked up hunting demons saving a supposed celebrity then black mailing him. at first they were like cool let's give it a go. course the arc i am talking about i didn't get till i was 35. so they're all in their teens wondering does it ever get better?

i.e. the Arcs we all had the most fun on were the ones that spanned over like two or three contacts like Hollows, Striga, Croatoa and now the newer Faultline.

Does villians have anything like that, that i may have missed up untill the Cage Consortium Arc?

I think that is what turned them off from CoV. Sure the powersets are cool and stuff but all we end up doing for the first 20 levels is stealing stuff from random groups and robbing banks (yeah i know that is what villians do)

any help would be greatly appreciated i would love to get my group back into villians.
