hello, i'm looking to pick up COH/V pretty soon, and i have a question regarding weapons. I have seen trailers for the games and am wondering which archetype can use the double pistols. I'm fairly sure that at least the mastermind with the thug powerset on COV can use them, but i wanted to know if they were available to anyone else. thank you!

Hello archer331. Welcome to GameAmp!
On the hero side there is nobody that uses pistols. An assault rifle blaster is the only Archetype that uses an actual ranged weapon. And that rifle is a huge swiss knife style multipurpose rifle that is mysteriously pulled from over your shoulder. The mastermind thugs might have pistols, but only the thugs. The mastermind himself won't have them.

The Pistols are part of the Mastermind Primary Set "Thugs".
The pets and the villain are using the pistols
I'm listening to real music.

Yes, come on over to the dark side!
We have the nice and shiney pistols for you to use. There are several pistol attacks you can use in the Thug set. I believe, single shot, dual wield and empty clips are you options (empty clips is a small cone attack).
The set is extremely fun to play, with any secondary power too. Some of the better builds are Thug/Dark Miasma, Thug/Poison and even Thug/ForceField.
If you need anymore information on the Thug set, come on over to the dark side of the house.
