Ok, i came across this tonight, ive been stuck with it for awhile... i thought the world of game amp would like to help shed light/find the meaning along with me... its pretty fun so far, and a little confusing... first the trailer..

Looks like it could be a pretty sweet movie. Reminds me of Godzilla.
From what I've found out so far is that someone tryed to spread a new religion with his Ethan Haas as his Phropet in much malcontent off the writer of the journal ( http://ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com/ ).
The next blogupdate shows that Van Manta and his Phropet are succeding in converting more people and that his phropet has already made a perdiction thrue some sort of "Vision?".
The previous prediction annouced a great war of the Gods off Vab Manta's faith against Humanity but the people who choose to follow him and his belief would stand beside them as allies. The fiery objects falling down from the sky are supposed to be the Wrath of the Gods. But the last ling "they come for war" shows that somebody ( the Gods? or something else) are coming for War not salvation.
Those cryptic signs on the last pages are some sort of language made up from the heaven perhaps the stars?. this is very weird and very awsome as well ^^
well im now very intrigued, i cant wait for this although i would rather just wait rather than see loads of little clips and chunks of info about it then spoil the movie for myself when it finally gets here :)

Who cares what the thing is... Why dont you just wait for the movie to come out. Imo that would be better then figureing wth "It" is.

SPOILER TIP ON PUZZLE 2
heres a tip.. each symbol is a letter in the alphabet.. hover mouse over the star to the right and it will show the symbols in order as if they were the alphabet... your supposed to find a 4 letter word.. the only 4 letter word there is HAAS... you want the top two to be HA and the bottom two to be AS... you only have control of the two rotating ones, so you will have to look at each one of the pairs on the bottom to see which are AS

The Ethan Haas sites have been debunked as not being a part of the official ad campaign. Abrams says they were not made by them and were not made for the untitled film project.
Becasue of this there are only two possibilities of reality:
1> They are fan made BS websites made as a hoax for an unkonown film.
... or...
2> They are official and the "debunking of them" is supposed to make them seem more mysterious as to their origins, effectively advertising the film better.
I think its more likely to be the second one, becasue everything around this film smells of a viral ad campaign, the likes of which has never been done before. Point everyone in so many directions that no one knows what is real until the film finally releases. And if they continue to only have confusing trailers that tell nothing, this will work like a dream.

The guy running in the trailer says something like "I saw it, it's a lion, it's huge!" The word at the end of the puzzle is "DIVINUS". Which translated from Latin, I believe is superhuman(divine, deity, God). So I then Googled lion god and got "Sekhmet" which is the daughter of RA. A quick wikipedia search yielded this: Sekhmet was believed to protect the pharaoh in battle, stalking the land, and destroying his enemies with arrows of fire. Which in the trailer you see fire explosions and what looks like 'arrows of fire' shoot out from them.
So, the lion is apparently suppose to be a god, and powerfull god and the fire is fire arrows. It trys to reign world of destruction, and pretty much, if this happens irl, wish yall good luck with livin, and mostly, Id live in a island sorrounded by LOTSA water....water owns fire....
Ne ways, the movie is NOT gobots... whered u get that from...I have no flipping idea.... gl all.

Heres how it goes to find out. First, go to google, type in "ways to be publicaly and socialby accepted". After reading that go to Washington D.C., make an attempted robbery of ther Decleration of Independance. After your arrested and serving 20, when you get back home write the words "gullible" on the ceiling and stare at it.
I've seen, 10.5, Gozilla, and Jaws, and didnt really like them. Maybe this would is gonna be better
