| QUOTE | Players have asked us for information about the Prerelease Bonus Pack for Guild Wars: Eye of the North. We are happy to provide the list of contents, which will apply to purchases made through the Guild Wars Official (in-game) Store as well as those made through a retail store:
Access is provided to the following:
* The Guild Wars: Eye of the North Sneak Peek Weekend (details to follow)
* A 10-hour/14-day trial access to all three Guild Wars campaigns
Each player who purchases a Prerelease Bonus Pack will receive the following items:
* The Glacial Blade
* The Hourglass Staff
* The Darksteel Longbow
* A Prerelease Bonus Pack Access Key cannot be used to create a new Guild Wars account.
* The special items listed above will be available only upon registration of a GW:EN Standard Edition (game) Access Key.
* Trials do not stack.
* The retail version of the Prerelease Bonus Pack will be provided on a DVD. No DVD is required for purchases made through in the Guild Wars Official (in-game) Store.

Is this that bonus pack thing that I read about on the login screen where if you spend 30 bucks in the online store then you will get that pack for free?
Personally I got what I want but I'm thinking of probably getting a few more character slots since I have no interest in the PVP edition of the games.

Ah, then that means I'll look into it when I get paid tomorrow. I'm expecting a big fat paycheck since I got 8 hours holiday pay, plus 20 hours over time (I worked for 60 hours last week so if you were wondering where I disappeared to, I was working)
I'm just hoping that the taxes won't hurt too bad tho, but yeah... DO WANT! RWAR!

It should be available at 12:01am PST August 31st. The same day it is released and the servers open.

Now, there has been no official statement yet. But in the past, Gaile has said that she thought there would be a Collectors Edition, but as she also said, there has been no official statement on it.
So, only time will tell us.

Why was you expecting a character slot? It has no new professions, and it is only an expansions. Its only for level 20 characters. Why would there be a character slot added?

Actually, kanna has more character slots than he knows what to do with, considering he only plays one character.
Anyway, the stats on these weapons look good, I'll finally get a generic staff for my heroes that's better than the Insightful Spiritbinder, it looks like, one they'll actually be able to do damage with. Hopefully they look awesome. And I hadn't heard about a new storage tab, didn't know that was confirmed. That's cool, I can always use more storage space.

Great find on the bonus details. Truly wonderful news way to start my day.
At least the bonus pack weapons will be customizable this time around :D I'm pretty sure my Heroes can't wait to get pixelated hands on these pixelated new toys :D
Ooh and just the idea of another storage tab for GWEN... mmmmm... I'm sure I can manage to find some junk to fill it up if we ever get one :D
Start working on those titles if you haven't done so already! GWEN and your very own HALL OF MONUMENTS is just around the corner!!

guaranteed, no.. very possible, yes
but they will offer pre release and expansion in the online shop.
there will be no collector's edition Gayle said,
so I'm buying pre and expansion online..
What Gaile has said before is that they gained more experience in distributing and that will reflect on bringing the game on time in 'almost all' stores.
But they don't have 100% control about the distribution..
They are working on a new system to maptravel to all stores across the world to deliver the games themselves, like we can do ingame, but this system isn't fully working yet ^^
