Okay, I was looking over my hero panel to check on how much Tyria I explored. And at first I saw that I lost 10 or so games of chance.
So I shrugged thinking that it was a minor bug that would clear up in a few days but now... I checked again and it said that I lost 100 games of chance.
Oooh--kay....
Strange in that I don't remember playing a game of chance of any kind. No festival games no special events, nada.
The only thing I've done was play and explore to Pochmark Flats and the Northern Breach. So I have not gone far.
The only thing that I can guess is that I'm using lockpicks whenever I can and they are always breaking on me.
Which brings up something else that I'm wondering. Is lockpicking one of those 'hidden' skills that gets better over time or am I just wasting my money on them?

When you break a lockpick you gain 25 points towards the unlucky title. If it doesn't break, you get 250 towards the lucky title. The higher you lucky title/treasure hunter title, the more likely you wont break the pick. Go here to check out the percentage increase over level. Hope this helped a bit :)

You get points for unlucky if you break the lockpick or if you did noy win on the game of nine rings or the outher *withc are a game of chance*

The retention of the lock pick depends on your rank in the Lucky title, the Treasure Hunter title and your character level. Here is an explanation Lock Picks
Dont waste your money on lock picks unless you have at least 1 rank in the Lucky title track.
Also research high end chasts, since those are the only ones that count towards the Treasure Hunter track.
