As we can conclude from this graph, as metal bands decrease as does my love. We can tell this from the distinct line going in a horizontal position decreasing down the graph. This is not good... At all :(

But more ontopic I just think Metal, like most music, is just being divided into alot of subgenres and thus result in a more spesiphic kind of Metal you like. Let it be Nu-Metal, Heavy Metal, ...

Yeah, those bands are ooooold :(
It's hard to find a lot of new good metal bands because everything seems to be taken over by indie it'd seem atm.
However, I agree with the comment on metal splitting into a lot of sub-genres. Though even they are small genres and everything is losing the original sound.
By the way, I thought the graph was pretty clear and it was just sort of a "im bored, let's draw a graph!" kinda thing (not that I always draw graphs when im bored :p)
Sorry but I am going to have to say it... rock all the way from classic to punk is sick. Arctic Monkeys, The White Strips, The Offspring, David Bowie, The Clash, The Who, Domino Theory (my friend's cousin's band), Queen, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Aerosmith... the list goes on and on!
Btw: The White Stripes have a sick new song called Icky Thump and I reccomend to all you rockers out there to check it out!.. not there best but hey, it's still sick!(see below)
