So far, I've gotten by Fire/Kin up to 21, and it's been a lotta fun. My heals are fully slotted (Acc/Heal/Recharge).
I slot Fire Cages and the PBAoE slow with great damage.
The only problem I have is what pool powers should I get?
I've gotten Hasten, Super Speed, Hurdle, Health, and Stamina.
Any ideas on what else is good for a PvE Fire/Kin Controller?

The Leadership pool is really helpful for the Fire/Kin build. All of your heals and endurance recovery powers like Transfusion and Transference require a "to hit" roll on the mob that you are using as a generator. So a miss could be fatal.
Even with Tactics I still put accuracy enhancements into them. Transference particularly. It seems to have a lower base accuracy rate than Transfusion. Also with the Leadership pool you can beef up your DPS output a little, and will not have to waste any slots on the Imps for accuracy enhancements if you don't want to(I still put one in, but that will probably change as I start swapping out for IO's).

Well on my level 50 fire/kin I got the fighting set, for that extra bit of protection so: boxing, tough and weave. However I don't really need tough as I have fire shield in my mastery pool, but I think take it at lower levels then when you reach level 44 (fire shield) respec out of the fighting pool and get leadership. Here is my build at level 50:

I would personally go for Leaping, Fitness and Leadership. And of course your Ancillary pool. If you still have some space in your build, go for the Speed pool. Hasten is nice.

On my fire/kin I have Hasten, Combat Jumping, Super Jump, Acrobatics, Hurdle, Health, Stamina, Recall Friend, and Fire Shield, Fire Ball, and Fire Blast from Fire Mastery. For Primary/Secondary I have Char, Fire Cages, Smoke, Hot Feet, Flash Fires and Fire Imps, Transfusion, Siphon Power, Siphon Speed, Speed Boost, Transference, Fulcrum Shift, and Increase Density. With this build, I can easily farm Invincable mishes set to 6 ppl, with or without an emp to back me up (much easier with the emp, of course). It works for me.

Depends. If you play it well, you'll be 50 in two weeks.

Actually, my experience is that it wasn't that fast leveling until the 40s, when I had both imps and fulcrum slotted to taste. Then I became a killing machine. Up until then, I was basically a buffer with some mezz capabilities. All of the primary powers I chose, I chose for a reason. Namely, damage output. Fire Cages is great at setting up containment, and its a rapid source of damage for a moderate end cost. Char is in there to lock down any bosses I may come across. Flashfires is for when I really need to stop an alpha strike before it happens. Smoke acts like a defense buff for me, while allowing me to get in the middle of the mob and fire Fulcrum Shift before they attack back. And Imps are.... well, Imps. Stupid, often too slow (so annoying keepin em SBd that I don't even bother anymore) and die too quickly. I can kill the mob myself before they get there, half the time. They are useful when bosses show up, though.
