I was just thinking, would it be a good idea to make a "Trading Post" forum of some sort? People could post whatever they are looking for ingame(Salvage, a costume piece, etc.) and what they are willing to trade for it. You could list the server you are on, toon name, global, etc. It would just make communication, trading and getting what you want a little easier. :P

Well I think that is a good Idea in theory there in lies the reliablility of the players making the posting of items. I think this should be one for Bishop to decide.
My fears are that we will have people that will make false posts or disagreements on things such as how much things are worth and if there happens to be a person who posts something and does not live up to their promises. It might cause arguments and flaming on the site and that is something we do not want here. The Black Market is there to be used so I am not sure if we really even need to make one on site.

I'll agree with ViV on this one. This would be extremely too hard to keep track of and to monitor.
I also got word from the Devs that this is something that had already been thought about, however, due to the complexity of this that they decided against setting up a trading post.
So, I'll side with their thoughts on this one and say that, although it's a good thought, it's not an avenue that we'll venture down.

Well, I guess it was foolish of me to assume that everyone was mature enough not to do such things, but oh well. Anyway, it's just a random idea and I don't expect anything. I just figured it would give those with lower level toons a break in the area of trading, the Black Market isn't nice to those low levels heheh.

Nah, you're not foolish at all...
I actually asked the Devs before the BM went live :)
It would be helpful to all, however, that would be a headache to monitor and make sure everyone got what they wanted when they wanted how they wanted, etc. The Devs gave me some headaches they had with a current bidding site they have currently and some of the stories I was told frightened me...lol.
