Alot of people seem to confuse the different variations of the word Newbie, and don't realize the difference in meaning. A Newbie is a new player, a Newb is just a shortform for Newbie.
Example:
lvl 50: Hey
lvl 1: How do i kill stuff?
lvl 50: Newb!
would be correct, even though it would be kinda mean.
A Noob, and this is were people get confused, is not a Newb. Noobs are players who are usually very annoying because they make mistakes that a newb would make, even though they have been playing the game for a while. You can commonly see this in a pure powerleveler, or is common if someone aggros a group by mistake.
Example:
lvl 50: Dude WTF? We're resting, why are you aggroing more?
lvl 50(2): Woops!
lvl 50: Noob!
