Wtf -_-, I just heard the news that Rasmussen got fired and can't go anymore in the Tour de france.I was a huge fan of him and always wanted that he won the tour but now he got kicked :(.
Does somebody watch the tour also ? I mean , so many doping thinks this year like Vinokourov :S

I watch it a bit.
There was already a lot of controverse about him because he didn't went to a doping control (while he was training, not in the tour or another cycling event). the finnish cycling bund banned he from the national team for that so he couldn't go to the world championship and the olympics.
but banned from the tour is new for me...how come he got fired?

He got kicked because he made a lie, He went to Italy and not mexico because an Italian journalist spotted him.

O_O Why blame them? thats insane :S
Tour is f-ed up.. Players ruin it themselves... not all of course... but a very large group.. I liked rasmussen... but if he used doping... he can bugger off... scum. Just sad....

THis hasn't much to do with the orginasation of the Tour or with the French newspapers. It's just a nasty game between Rabobank and Rasmussen, just think about the facts, half of them must be lies. Rabo knew about Rasmussens trips to Italy and so on. Why would they otherwise trust an old Italian cyclist? Theo de Rooj says he asked Rasmussen and he admitted directly... d'mon. The french papers destroyed his reputation, that's true, but they are doing that for 10 years now.
First Vino, Then Moreni, now Rasmussen. It just doesn't stop. I am a great fan of cyclism, and i stay convinced, but it's a hard period now.

Lemme just say that they have tested him a LOT of times, and none of em has been positive, so they doesn't have proof that he's doped. This only happened DCU started saying he had been away from some test they'd made...
Woke up at 4.30am and found out about this and it really stinks, cause he would have won...

First here is a link the article on ESPN Kicked off the tour
Kind of a toss up for me. He did lie about his whereabouts to miss a drug test and that implies that he had a reason. On the other hand he has been tested 17 times during the tour and all tests came back negative. Don't know much abot blood doping and drugs so I can't comment on the long term benifits from doping say in may and whethere they give him a competative edge.
All I can say is after the past couple years of controversy why would you even take the chance of being caught. That is like a baseball player getting popped for steriods now, how stupid do you have to be. Eitehr way this will do to the Tour what steriods did to baseball.
The true test of any technology is its ability to obtain porn.
