Well i decided to make a toon that actually has powersets that are normally made by others. i went with fire/kin. I have a read a guide by thindarpants but i would like the opinion of other ampers too. I would like to know what u guys think of the powers in each set.......if u have the time. tyvm

Nice Combo... This is the toon of choice for Power Levelers, just add the Infamous Family Map, and you will be paid to power level... not that I condone the activity for new players.

Blasters kill everything, usually before they get killed themselves. When it comes to dealing pain, a blaster has no equal. We just have a hard time taking our own medicine! So we love Tanks and 'fenders!

Fire/kinetics is an awesome build, when ever i get a chance to team with one, i do. This build basically takes the role of controller (via holds) and blaster (via Fire damage/boosting power)
Fire works with perfect symetry with kinetics being both are very close range affective.
Stand in the mob, fire of all your buffs/holds and watch as the mobs burn!

Thanks aurrius, i noticed that there is no travel power. i was thinking about the same thing.....do u think its a good idea to substitute siphon speed/inertial reduction instead of a travel power?

Siphon Speed (when slotted the way I slotted it) can easily be used as a travel power, because you will just about always hit the enemy, and you have plenty of time to find another enemy to use it on when it's about to run out (even better, you can stack them for more than 24 seconds).
Inertial Reduction is even easier. Once you get it, it'll be your new travel power. 2xJump will make it fast, and high, and 1xRecharge will enable you to stack it.

Siphon Speed doesn't relly do the trick. If your going to have hot feet activated and stand in the middle of a group. Your going to need some defense. I suggest getting Combat Jump,Super Jump and Acrobatics.

Siphon speed will work fine until IR gets there. My level 32 Ill/Kin never took a travel power. It works just fine and gives you extra power pool slots. When I got IR I respeced out siphon speed and its all good.

You do realise that Siphon Speed gives you a 20% recharge bonus? So if you stack it, that gives you 40% recharge! Keep it for the recharge... not the speed.

That sounds good, but I haven't noticed the boost at all. Even looked for it and timed it and didn't notice a major difference. And to get a long lived double stack requires slots for recharges or hasten taking a slot. I need slots and other powers. I'll probably get it back later, but for now other things take precedence.

Thanks guys i am now lvl 12 (switching betwween this char and another) and its really fun. i would like to know the pros and cons about the epic pools in conjunction with fire/kin.

Oh and one other thing how fast does IR recharge. Siphon speed is getting annoying cause im afraid to use it on higher lvl mobs. i was KINDA thinking of getting a travel power but im not sure. any help would be great thanks

IR recharges quickly enough that it is basically perma. The recharge and duration are about the same.

Ice/Kin
I have an Ice/Kin troller and i noticed on both build that neither of you two took Increase Density until the late 40s(49 i believe). i took ID instead of Inertial Reduction, is this something i should respec and switch out of my toon??

i for got to mention that my Speed Boost is slotted for End Mod and not speed. if anyone outthere has a guide to this built please steer me in that direction. this is my 1st troller and i'd like to make him as efficient as possible.

Well im not an expert on this (thats why i made this thread) but as a blaster i would rather have the endmod than the speed, the speed is nice but there is no need to up it so IMO i think end mod is best way to go
