| Survivor title a Bit too hard? |

Well Ive failed 4 times at Legendary Survivor in a week wasted over 100k and a bit tired at it too say the least :)
I was thinking anet could make it a little less...taxing?
I agree for the first tier (lvl20 without dying) is fine thats not too hard to do.
but the other ones are a little to hard so i was thinking maybe make it Die only 2 Times or less from level 20 to what ever XP R2 Survivor is and maybe only die 3 times for Legendary Survivor because ive died once from Lag and once from keyboard messing up... :P
Anybody else think this is a good idea?

Personally, I hate the entire survivor title track. I've had the fine displeasure of failing in a mission because of someone protecting their survivor title track while helping a PUG, and they really didn't have much to worry about, they wouldn't rez, even with rebirth because of the off chance the might agro something.
As far as it being too hard, maybe the question should be are some of the others too easy? Shouldn't the max level of all titles be difficult?
You didn't HAVE to waste any money, tht was a choice, you can get it through normal play.

Its a ok idea, but it is taking out the meaning of the title. Survivor= one who survies. But i wouldnt mind beain able to die a few times :)

Actually, survivor does take a bit of money....new armor sets, new runes and or insignia's every time you restart.(hard to get all runes and insignias off your armor all the time)
As for PUG's, I dont do PUGs, and wouldn't if going for survivor.
As for it being too hard....I have failed twice now, once I was typing in GC, all monsters were dead, but I had degen on me still....the second time, I was trying to farm a quest I could only do on an elonian born character, so I couldnt try it on my other monk. I made it through once, went back again accidently used both shielding hands and shield of absorption, knew I was gonna die, but for some reason I didnt even try to hit the GH button. Needless to say, I died.
Restarted today and I plan to farm trolls instead of that quest, since I have a build that takes 0 dmg, and cannot be interrupted, so I should hopefully make it this time.

i don't know about you guys but lvl 1 survivor is enough for me. i just don't got the time, patients or money to go restarting a char every time i make a misstake.

i dont know, i dont consider it hard but just waste of time :P
only one time neer again, and make it easier is like backstabbing all though that all ready succeed with title.

IMO I somehow only enjoy seeing the (1) titles, and for good reason, we all know 1,2,3 and so on, 1 is first, 2 is second :P
I prefer being first then second, so i prefer (1) meself.
Doesn't go for everyone at all i know but have enjoyed having (1) titles, like Charmed or Survivor more then other ones.
Simple, alot of new gamers have no idea about all the gibberish under your name, making (1) seem like tough. And dont give me the ''no new gamers'' talk, some guy with 15K armour even said that.. ofcourse i was stunned by the hole he has in his knowledge book about GW's, but it was defintely fun for me.

Survivor is easy if you really want it the dumb part about it is chars from before factions couldn't realistically get it. I would rather see it be xp since last death not xp with out dieing ever so that if a char does die for whatever reason you don't totally blow it.

Maybe I am being dense here but... a title being too hard? Doesn't that just mean that it means more to have it than say the lucky or unlucky title track? How can you complain about something being to hard when that something is purely for the point of showing off? When I see a Legendary Survivor I think, "dang, that guy must have really worked hard" and I sometimes whisper him to congradulate because having failed at it myself I understand how hard it is considering lagg.
Like I said above... a title cannot be too hard if the only purpose is to show off.
That's like complaining that FoW is too expensive and it's not fair.
Maybe I am in a bad mood because my ex-girlfriend wont stop emailing me this bullcrap about something I have no clue about and aparently it is my fault but I really think that complaining about titles being too hard is just sad.
DISCLAIMER: Dags, like he said above isn't in a great mood so some things might sound harsh but please remember that Dags didn't intend to be mean! ^^

Getting LvL 3 survivor title requires luck, therefore it's not always about skills.
Also disconecting because a survivor is being attacked isn't a skilled thing to do.
A true survivor survives and doesn't disconnect, and that's called having skills, even if you only make it to lvl 1 survivor like that : respect.

A survivor is a person or animal which continues to live after something happens which might have killed them.
Honestly, I don't find earning the max survivor title extremely hard. You just have to be very careful and change your tactics when it comes to actually playing for the title. Its true, that there are factors beyond our control when it comes to playing for the title (lags/disconnects) but thats the point of the title. To continue to live after something happens which might have killed you.
I aim for survivors when I start a new character, sometimes I'll even try multiple times. I do have my limits and my patience level drops as my frustration level goes up.
My warrior is my first and oldest character. She was created during the 10hr/14day trial period that my friend gave to me to try out GW. In short, I had no idea about the title and died so many times that when I finally found about a survivor title (or any title for that matter) it was already too late.
I've restarted my ele 3 times only to give up after dying a fourth time capping skills during an elite bonus weekend.
I've died twice on my new Necro and just left the character on the backburner; delegated to the role of 'Survivor(1) Mule' for the time being.
Changing the rules on how to get the title easier would belittle the efforts of those players who managed to earn the title normally. They'd have to change the title to something totally different if they changed the mechanics of the Survivor title.
Most of my mistakes were human error and Some from lag/dcs. It's frustrating but thats what makes people go for it. This isn't one of the easier titles to get but it's definitely not very hard. It wouldn't be a "survivor title" if you died even just once.

Not at all because your right. We mind as well make ectos 300g each and make the make hero title only go up to 100 fame! It's meant to be hard so when you do see something like Legendary survivor or guardian or vanquisher you really have respect for that person. If was easy then no one would care. And R1 survivor is ez...r2 is kinda hard but with good planning its not that bad. r3 just takes time and lots of skill capping.

look at all those moneys
i would really like a-net to make a weekend where it allows you to start the survivor title agian, as in you have so many deaths but the title track appears.
or else if they had it like as long as you get 144,00 exp ina row you get rank 1, you surviveut as longut fairer to the people that didnt know about that title track

I got R1 Survivor on my Tyrian Ele without even trying, I was aware that I had the track running and I just played well. I ascended and thought I may as well try for R2. Went to Factions for the higher xp rewards and end game armour and I was fine until I met Orosen who 1 hit killed me in his over powered way.
Meh. The only char I'd like the title on is my 2yr old Warrior and that's not gonna happen :/

Exactly, my when i died on my necro, I had NO idea a title like this even EXISTED. That means I can never get as many titles maxed as people with this... :/
EDIT: Nvm, 2 titles less than other people, cuz i have a Canthan char so I can't get LDoA either... :'(

Got my title the other day.
Erm it can be hard and yeh it is alot of gold. Cost me about 70k or so and it is very time consuming. If you die (Like you have) then you gotta remake the gold and the time. But meh Sorry to see you fail

I have a friend on GW (has quit by now) that got Legendary Survivor for her Assassin in a few weeks. I was amazed, but it can't be that hard, can it? Merely annoying for PUGs, as said earlier.
