| Switching from Prot to Holy |

So, I began my wonderful pally life as a Retribution. Great for solo'ing, which is what you do more towards the beginning of the game. But I'm now in Outlands, looking to hit up some good instances. I went Protection, thinking, well, I'll just tank for the group then. But when you have a best friend who already tanks great for the guild as a protection pally, it makes you wonder....what about Holy?
I've never ever been a fan of pallies being the main healer, but I do admit, I do like the fact of being a priest wearing plate armor. Granted, they are not priests, but it's the thought that counts. And the healing.
So, Ampers, I would like your input on how Holy paladins do in instances, or just normal groups in general. Are they still that great healing juggernaut they used to be (before I went to training), or since TBC came out, have roles switched yet again?
So I send out the call:
"Gameamp, Gameamp, Gameamp members. HOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Yes, we are still those great healing juggernauts.
A decently geared/skilled holy paladin should be able to main heal most everything.
It takes hours to kill something though.

Meh, too late. Went Holy. Love it. I actually contribute to a group besides being that "other" guy who doesn't die. Now all I need is more gear to increase mana and healing!

Oh, come on. We use... like... at least four or five buttons.
I have eight buttons on my mouse, so if I can link some skills to my mouse I won't even have to use the keyboard anymore... now there's a thought.

Good choice =).
Only reason pallys make good tanks in 5-mans is because of salv , they couldn't keep aggro w.o it...
There for, a warrior or druid with a pally healer is even better lol.

Right, I ussually dont use salv when tanking. Unless they;re a lil higher than me, and there making a LOTTT of aggro. Besides, with Imp righteous fury, I just use seal of righteousness, and 1 swing of my sword is like a taunt. =D

I would have to disagree with you there, Maq.
Paladins can generate so much aggro it isn't even funny anymore.
Of course, some decent +spelldamage is needed, but that shouldn't be a problem at all.

Sorry, but I have NEVER seen a good lvl 70 tankadin, NEVER in over 30 hours play time at 70.

The guild that I'm in, prefers that my friend tank for instances up at 70. And he's a protection palidan. Most of the warriors I've seen are either fury or arms spec'd now.
