In-game tell spamming from Influence selling sites

Hi guys I am not sure if you have experienced this yet but I have. they send you tells from random player names telling you to go to their site and buy infamy/influence. It seems to be the same site sending these spamming tells I will not list it but please do not go to their website who knows what kind of viruses might be there for ya if ya do. If you get these tells please report them and the player name used to send your tell. If you don't they will continue to bother you and other players it becomes very annoying getting several of these tells in your play time not to mention it is against the rules what they are doing.

Yes I have run into this, I just report them then tell them to get lost.

Humph,

Well, it was bound to happen, with the addition of the crafting and auction house. Gold spammers have made WoW a pest hole, not that it had far to go from the start. Expect to start getting E-mails from these spammers. They cruise the player list, jot down the names and poof, e-mail Inf. spams. Again, 90% of the mail I get on WoW is from Gold Spammers.

Another option: Spam them back with "NO!!! WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR LIVES SELLING MONEY111 YOU NOOBZOR!!! NO NO NO!!" And eventually they realize you don't like gold farmers

Yup thats what I have been doing seems like its everyday around 9-930 pm est. that the tells start.

I got that the first time as well a few days ago. I just sent them a tell back saying to "Take that crap back to WOW were it belongs." (hope the WOW people dont get to mad at me for saying that) I wish I had reported them, just didn't think about it at the time.

Oh, and this happened to me on Triumph.

Someone on Champion said they went to one of the sites they advertised, and it was an Adults Only site....hmmm...

Lighthouse (on the Official Boards) said to petition the names, and they will ban those accounts as soon as they become aware of them. They don't like the in-game advertising any more than we like getting it.

Or you could just tell them you are selling some too...ask how much they are charging so you can undercut them. Start a whole interview with them about the process and procedures....really dig their brains...

I had about a 30 minute chuckle one night while waiting for a bank mission to start....

I got one last night on Justice - ironically on a character who was carrying around about 17mil influence. I just replied and politely and said "barking up the wrong tree buddy - got plenty of money I easily earned myself without needing to buy it - but I will report you for your trouble! Have a nice night, enjoy the game!". Then I sent in my report to the devs and went on about having the Vanguard hand me my behind in Rogue Unit string lol!

i have gotten these messages A LOT in world of warcraft, but when i was playin CoH i got a PM sayin YOU WANT INFLUENCE,POWER LEVELING, got to since i do not know how to report i left him alone and ignored him
