drudru is out for the count

hey guys, sorry I wasnt around yesterday and will probably not be around today or tomorrow much either. I was in the hospital all day yesterday and all night with a sevier allergic reaction to multiple yellow jacket wasp stings. My hands are really swollen and I can bearly type so if there are mistakes sorry its because my fingers dont work!

If you guys need anything I know KnightKawk, Meredias, Binary Dumb are around and Feanaro should be back by now as well. You can always PM me if you need anything and I will be checking and popping on. Hopefully I can find someone to type for me!

Either way because of the injections I have to get for the next 2 weeks and the other medication I have been forbidden to fly so No blizzcon for DruDru, but I know Cr3s is going and will definately fill us in on all the good stuff!!!

As for the lesson learned, when you go after multiple wasps nests in your mothers porch with bee spray...MAKE SURE there is ACTUALLY bee spray in the can....lol They do sting through cotton....

If it's any help, you're not the only one who does things before thinking. The other day, I had lost my lighter and was using my car's lighter. Well, it didn't seem to light my ciggy, so, before thinking anything, I pressed the lighter with my finger to see if it was even hot. It was.... -.-

NOOOOO! Not you Dru! Anyone but you! You know this means war against all wasps right? I shall eradicate them all, with my newly learned urban tactical warfare techniques, along with my improvised bug spray carbine rifle. I'll give new meaning to the word Air Assault!

I really really really hope you feel better. But a tip for the future:

Next time you try to take out wasps, and you want to check the can to see if it has spray left....just make sure the arrow isn't facing you.

Wanna make sure you don't pull off another "Dru" and have to stay away again because of loss of sight.

awww dru! really weird i was just talking to you about bee stings lol...creepy....anyways just work on getting better. i will try to get as much news up as possible the next couple weeks while your gone. damn those wasps! damn them!...i took out a wasps nest once on my porch...but i basically threw a ball at it, knocked it down and ran forever...i was a kid at the time...mind you i would still run now...anyways we will work on a plan to take out the wasps while your gone...we'll kill them Gameamp style! Ampers from around the world will unite and create the "THE SUPER GAMEAMP SUPER BEE KILLING SUPER SQUADRON" TEAM...ALPHA.....:) pretty intense. take care Dru, and get better! :)

Ouch Dru. No BlizzCon and wasp stings. Hehe, I can always lead the assault on the miserable waspers...their stings have very little effect on me. I'm not sure if I've just grown used to the venom from all the stings when I was younger, or if it has something to do with my extreme pain tolerance :p

I've found the easiest way is to light a rolled newspaper on fire let it get going good, then blow it out, letting it smolder and smoke. Wearing leather gloves and jacket help greatly for those allergic :p For those highly allergic...call a "friend" :p

my old man was stung like that afew yrs back but all it gave me was a good laugh, how nice is it 2 be cruel ;)

iv had 2 luck to only be stung once in me life, my own fault though i guess. i dont think i just act lol. hope ya feel better soon *mutters in false sympathy* ;)

I've never broken/fractured anything, gotten bitten, or been stung by anything before. When it comes to that crap I couldn't be more paranoid. But I do have a few ulcers, (Im 13, no im not kidding.) so my pain tolerance is pretty high.

i have had some run ins with pain. no bee stings though so i have no idea what thats like. My girlfriend farms bees on the weekend and she has been stung a few times, now it doesnt seem to bother her (first time she went she came home and complained that she got stung, i was like "your working with bees! what did you expect to happen!) lol. but personally i have:

-drowned and be resasitiated at an amusement park
-almost feel down a little shaft, at the bottom were to massive fans circulating the underground parking for a building. yea would have been chopped up luckily my brother grabbed me as the cage gave way.
-i had a metal pole from a bicycle get stuck in my head, had to be surgically removed.
-pole in my knee during the winter while i was playing outside.
-dragged behind a Sea-doo by a rope, long story.

prob more i don't remember but i myself know shit happens. but i pulled through all of those just fine, now its Dru's turn lol. :). you'll be fine!...better be, Gameamp needs ya! :)

And that's about it. I enjoy drinking milk alot, so have had many situations where my bones cracked a bit, but didn't break.

i have a habbit myself of somehow injuring myself on a daily basis, rarely anything severe just fractured bones or gashes...somehow it happens no idea tho...i seem 2 injure myself while sleeping the most but iv never managed 2 break a bone, came close to snapping afew fingers with a damn ladder while working though, bastard slamed it down and caught me fingers in the process, blood flew but lucky me no broken bones :)

hehe, thanks guys, I got a nice laugh when I got home from all the posts.

I am a walking accident myself, I have actually broken almost every bone in my body, sternum, pelvis, neck, jaw, clavical, nose, eye socket, radius, ulna, femur, tibula, fibula, both ankles, various toes and fingers, tore my rotator cuff, achilies...yeah pretty much everything between car accidents, varsity sports, ballet dancing, working with and thrown off horses, kicked and bitten by animals on the farm, etc. So its not the first time I have been in the ER, probably wont be the last either.

I will bounce back and thanks again for the well wishes! :-D

If you take a typing class on how to write letters or whatever, that's the correct way to type. 2 spaces is how I was taught, so 2 spaces it is. Darn you schooling and your annoying habits! I'll get you one day, and your dog too!

Other than that several broken bones when I was a kid.. thats if I can count my right ankle four times.

Gah! now I realize I also use two spaces in between sentences!(when I actually use spaces) Didn't notice before.

Omg this happened to me! I walk home from school with 3 of my friends. One day were walking, and one of them just sais, "Wait! I need to tie my shoe." So he ties his sho, which takes a minute or so. As soon as hes done and pick up his stuff, we take 2 steps forward and a drunk driver Jumps up on the curb ahead of us and drives on the curb for about 10 yards. Which would have definatley hit us if he didnt have to tie his damn shoe.

And @ Dog bites: I've almost been bit a few times, but I love dogs, very good with them. I know what they do.... /end pet charmer

Holy.....@#$%$!

I 'almost' did the same over the weekend. There's a pesky tree the landlord and I are trimming down. Whilst moving a stoted Mustang, we found a "few" wasp nests...

Poor landlord was like you. He got the brunt of it. I, just like when I was a lot younger, seemed to have been spared such a experience. Eeeep.

Next time, use teh spray. :-p

Ok, for real now, how to defeat wasp nests easily. Now, I don't know where any of you guys live, but down in the south, here's how we do it:

Blind fold yoursef, grab a stick, spin around a lot, then start wailing. See, the trick is, if you can't see them, they can't see you! And we all know that if a southerner gets ahold of a stick, he's practically unstoppable.
