Bonus Mission Pack FAQ

Been wondering about that bonus mission pack? Well wonder no more! The Bonus Mission FAQ is here! Read on...

Bonus Mission Pack FAQ (Link )

Does the Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack offer bonus missions or quests?

The bonus missions are not quests. They play just like traditional Guild Wars missions and have the same approximate gameplay length. However, these repeatable missions are managed through your Quest Log).

Will the bonus missions be repeatable?

Yes, you can replay the bonus missions as many times as you would like.

Will the bonus missions be available to every character on the account (much like the bonus items) or will they be available only to one character on an account?

The bonus missions will be available to every character on the account.

When can I play the content in the Bonus Mission Pack?

These missions will become available sometime during the month of November, 2007.

What items are rewarded for the missions obtained through the Bonus Mission Pack?

We are not going to release that information because we would like to surprise players with the rewards.

Do I have to spend the qualifying amount all at once?

No, your purchases during the promotion period are cumulative. Once you spend the required amount, you are eligible for the Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack.

Can I qualify for the Bonus Mission Pack through purchases in the PlayNC Store?

Yes, you can. All purchases made through either the Guild Wars In-Game Store or the PlayNC Store from noon Pacific Time on July 5, 2007 through noon Pacific Time on October 31, 2007 are added together. Once you meet the required amount, the bonus missions will be yours and you'll get access once the missions go live in November.

How can I see if I've qualified for the Bonus Mission Pack?

Check your account through the PlayNC Interface using the following steps: Go to www.plaync.com, click Account and enter your PlayNC account name and password. Click Manage and then Billing Summary to see what you have spent over the last six months.

Will the missions expire?

The missions, once added to your account, remain available for you to play as often as you desire.

Will I receive a key for the Bonus Mission Pack?

You don't need to do a thing! Access to the bonus missions is automatically added to your account. Once the content goes live, you may access the new missions.

I don't think there's any way they could track it from normal stores, unless they just gave it to anyone who bought EotN. But I'm glad they're doing it through the online store. Sure, I'd like the box for EotN, but I'd rather have some exclusive missions, and I'm one of the lucky people who plays this game and has their own credit card. I'm looking forward to some sweet rewards.

I wonder what will drop! *jumps with glee*

While we're talking about the online store... If I buy the pre-order thing in the in-game store, do I have to go back and buy EotN or will my credit card be charged when it comes out?

My personal belief as to why they are doing it in the in-game store is to get more money....go pickup factions from wal-mart, its what, $40? And some of that money goes to the distributer(wal-mart)....now, the same exact thing, in the in-game store, is still $50, not only does it cost more, but they get more money from it also because they dont have to pay a distributer.

To me, thats fair enough for them since their games are free to play online, and I too just recently got a "check card" from my bank which basically is a credit card, it can be used anywhere that accepts Visa....prior to that my mom would let me use one of her cards as long as I had the money to pay for it.

Now, if only I can get a job before November, otherwise my mom wont let me spend my money on a game. :/

EDIT: Ok, they lowered the price of factions in the in-game store.....either way, they still make more money from the in-game store(and the playNC site) because they dont have to pay an outside distributer.
