Last week was a GvG Event now its a Hero's Ascent Weekend.... :( POR QUE!? ive noticed theyve started the Event cycle over again, guess theyve ran out of ideas?

oh i dunno, they're a pretty imaginative bunch. More likely they have been asked to repeat them by players who missed out on them. I know there's been some weekend events that i would have enjoyed but couldnt be home for.

doesnt really matter to me..if im intrested in one of the event thingies i just do the things and things like this(pvp) i just dont because i dont like pvp.
they may cycle trough the weekends imo, triple green weekend was fun xD

Well, its about time ANet started taking care of us PvPers.
Dont complain about us getting 2 events in a row. Almost every event is PvE based so its about time they gave us something. Whilst there are many things they can do for pvers, pvp events are limited - all they can change is RA, TA, HA and GvG and all of them use faction which is basically the only thing important to all PvPers (except fame/champ points).
Since they dont have to give weekly events anyway, nobody really has a right to complain about what theyre affecting (have u ever seen a pvper come on here and go "omg! no pvp event again! its always events for pvers!" - i know i havent.)

Last weekend was preview weekend of new game called FURY. That game as i found out is PvP only so maybe A-net wanted to prevent few GW PvP players from switching to another game.
And maybe this weekend another game is introduced ;)
Just my 0.02$ :D

Indeed. It's such a nice idea in theory, getting to your next rank faster, but it's more and more becoming a way for inexperienced players to gain a title they wouldn't otherwise have been able to get. Also I always manage to miss the dam events!

Hey Megido I dont meen to flame but they have somewhat of a cycle. It goes something like this:They have a Pvp weekend, then a PvE weekend, then a update weekend(by this i mean major graphical or system update not the patches the download when u turn on the game)but the udate weekend can also be a PLAYER WATCH OUT THERS A FAT HACKER IN YOUR ACC weekend or the update/player awareness is meshed in with one of the weeks. I remeber not to long ago they had like 3 AB events in a row but one was during triple green weekend and the another was also in a system update, the last one was all by itself.
Anyhoo, back on topic they did add the EotN background(i was getting sick of Nightfall background)and yesterday they had something about purcasing a game in GW gold that you could be banned! and they still have a Players:Protect Your Account(which imo, is getting extremely annoying)going on so it balances out if u ask me.
I need a raise..
Well thats my siggy thanks for reading...
I need some new ideas

1) Alliance Battle is more of a PvEr's thing that a PvPer's.
2) Increase Key weekend->increase dye weekend->skill cap weekend->RA faction weekend->increase scroll weekend->some other pve weekend etc etc
So no, theyre not really on a cycle tbh. Maybe theyll start implementing one like yours like they should. Or even better they wont do these weekends and fix issues that need fixing like lag and some balance issues.

But it used to be Pvp, PvE, PvP, PvE and so on i dont mind the AB weekends as thats the closest thing to PvP ill even do, i used to HA and HoH untill the lameways and Spikes started :(

I never thought of AB as a PvE thing(i don't mean to flame....BUT.......) you are fiteing real people if I'm not mistaken(notice peeps of the same proffesions have different builds and appearances) but if u dont want to go thru the crap of remebering your cycle wwhich im not,im sry Megido but my brain can only handle so much,but like I said in my earlier post i said they copmbne weekends sometimes so if you want to apply your brain to my info, ur at ur own risk, if ur brain starts bleeding over how stupid it is I am not liable in any way,shape,or form.
I need a raise..

I really have no idea what you just said, but I didn't like the look of that last sentence. If you were trying to suggest his brain would bleed because he is too stupid to understand, you may well be right, as I have no idea what that meant o.O

Well, here's my theory. The reason Anet is bringing PVP weekends, and now a HA testing weekend is because they know that the PVP community is simply dead. Ever since they put in kill count people have quit. The majority didnt even want kill count and now it's "so convinient" that they're gonna fix HA like, what, three weeks before EotN comes out? What do they think? That the PVPers are gonna come back and say "oh joy they fixed HA. Anet lurves us PVPers" and then buy EotN? Well Anet, it's too little too late for that. The majority of the PVP community isnt coming back. This is just stupid. They destroyed HA and now they realize that they did it. GG.
PS. And yes I am angry because it's so obvious that Anet doesnt give a damn about PVP anymore and that the only reason they're fixing HA now is because of money.

I know its an old post but:
so what? Everytime im in HA I see people yelling: LFP r3++
How are you supposed to get rank 3 if you can't get a party? Don't tell me I have to join a guild who does HA all the time, because I won't do that, I'm in a PvE guild. But if I want to play PvP, I want to play PvP, no stuff about being ranked. I paid for a whole game, not just a half game.
