| Shield''s -5 (20%) question |
|

When i take dmg is it -5 by the chance of 20% or is it -5% by the chance of 20%?
I know there ain't no "%" in it, but just to make sure.
If it's just the -5 dmg by the chance of 20% that doesn't really sound that much to me. I was thinking more of a getting +10 armor vs "some type of dmg".

Yea, -5(20%) is kind of misleading, in that it looks cool having -5 damage, but if you think about it, it averages out to -1 damage per hit (at -5 damage every 5 hits), and even then it's still only against physical damage.
As a PvPer it's common to bring a selection of shields/offhands to counter the different types of enemies you're likely to meet. For instance, if you KNOW a certain area is likely to contain a lot of fire-casting enemies then bring a shield with "Sleep Now in the Fire" inion. The +10 armour is a welcome reduction, especially against those mean double damage bosses!
