I'm playing an En/En Blaster and I'm always flirting with Power Boost, but haven't tried it yet.
Anybody here who can give me some infos about that power?
Is it worth taking?
And which effects does it really boost?
Does it affect combat leapings Def Bonus or Toughs Res Bonus?
Do the stuns just last longer or do I stun them easier?
etc.

I have a controller that got this in the epic pool. its speeds up flight speeds for hover, increases KB to an amazing extent, helps your accuracy and hold duration. it seems to be a good power. the more you use it the more you will figure out the various aspects of different it augments. if you have an extra slot for it it might be worth you wile.

Ice-Blaster...Elctro-Blaster....same.
But I'm asking specifically for an Energy-Blaster.

Power Boost paired with Energy Blast won't do that much for you, sadly. Energy Blast is all about knockback and damage. Power Boost will augment your Knock capabilities, but as they are already hit or miss, it won't do that much for you. Power Boost does not boost damage, so it's a miss there, too.
However, when you get to Epic Power Pools, it can do alot to boost those individual powers, making Holds last longer and such. If you have Aid Self, it'll double in effectiveness if you use Power Boost first. It'll double the effectiveness of Aid Other, if you have that, for use on teammates.
All in all, it's a personal decision. If you have room for it, I'd say take it. If not, you'll survive without it. You have so far, eh?

Having an En/En Blaster (41), I've found that I rarely use Power Boost. It doesn't last very long and has a long recharge (admittedly I haven't slotted it but it never even seemed worth slotting). My particular eng/eng blaster is built for long range attacks so secondary effects (knockback and stun) aren't high on my priority list. But still my main complaint about Power Boost is that it just doesn't stick around long enough to do me any good.
With all that said, I can't figure out why I haven't respected out of this power. :(

Yup yup, Power boost does affect aid self, doubles heal, sort of like Power build up for defenders, doubles all that wonderful stuff.

For the duration of Powerboost it will effect the defense of Manuevers, the tohit of Tactics and if you use it right before, it will boost the defense/tohit (for the entire duration) of Vengeance.

Power Boost is a personal favorite power of mine. I use it just before attacking with Total Focus on a boss and it will stun them until I pound them into the ground. Power Boost not only boosts knockbacks, but the stuns that go with the melee powers in the energy manipulations set, and that in my opinion is where it's strength lies. Pick it up and try it out, if you don't like it you can always respec it out for something else. Oh and if you do get it, three slot it with SO recharges.

Total Focus has a mag 4 stun on it which means it will stun bosses with the first application. Power Boost does not affect magnitude at all, it only boosts the duration.

Sorry, but Power Boost does double the magnitude and duration of mezzes. I tested this out once upon a time with my controller on test. Granted a controller can get "critical" mezzes with double magnitude already, but this was consistently happening every time I activated Power Boost before throwing my hold.

I'm sorry but you're mistaken. There is only 1 power in the entire game that increases magnitude and that is Domination.

It's just as much "proof" as he gave. Plus, my own personal experience differs from his greatly. I've got 2 characters that have access to Powerboost, 1 being a controller, the other being a dom and I can tell you that activating PB before using my holds has never allowed me to 1 shot hold a boss short of being in domination or getting a crit mez.

Radiation defenders with the Force Mastery epic have access to Power Build Up which is essentially Powerboost with a +tohit/+damage component.
To answer the question. No, it does not affect the recovery aspect of AM. It will only boost the mez resistance and run portions of AM.

I am a veteran of En/En Blastery, and Power boost isnt all that glamourous as it seems. All it does is boost stun,immobolize,hold, and other effects. It does not,however, boost build up or aim. You shouldnt take it if your good by your self.

Aid self isn't the only reason to take Power Boost. I have Hover on my blaster and PB has boosted it's def and flight speed. It's not much, but it has made a difference in alot of my fights. Also it may not be glamorous, but it does help make an energy blaster more effective. After all, a stunned enemy is one less you have to deal with.

It doesn't boost the +damage of aim or build up but it does boost the +tohit on them. Which can really help against high defense opponents.
