In my honest opinion its really daft buying a guild, especially with members, its like dealing with cattle.
he even got some guilds in the alliance?
I can only say that whatever he bought, it probably sucks beyond belief, i dont see any reason why else someone would sell it other then just fleeing it and searching someplace else.
If he wants, he should continue with this one, or appoint someone else and make his own guild.
It's hard these days, but if you got the will you can come far, but buying things the easy way wont result in much, same for recruiting, paying people 100G to join is a nice gesture & marketing, but in the long run wont get you any good people, just greedy ''quick'' cash folks, who leave the moment you stop funding them.
But its probably not going in that direction right?
Good Luck with whatever way you/he go :)

I can't agree more! Buying guilds with members will almost always result in alot of members leaving because people will just see it as a lame move by the old GL who didn't care enough to disband them and sold it to some random guy that they don't even know.
