Is it just me or are the new gwen skill waaay over powered i mean for one skill [necro] makes your main attribute 0 and the warrior skill disarm. unless these are PvE skills only PvP is gonna change forever for those whom havent seen these skills check wiki http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_of_Eye...he_North_skills[/LINE]

Those 100 preview skills are the only skills that will be PVP available through GW:EN, the other skills you haven't seen yet are the PVE only skills. Izzy has said so.

i thought this thread was gonna be about me...
but anyways, all these skills have yet to be balanced, look at what happened to the para, i wouldnt worry,
with every new gw game pvp has changed, its just evolution of the game. all we can do is wait and see

That skill last maximum time of 7 seconds ... That's not overpowered, that's just enough to annoy a toucher :).

same can be said about disarm. the average war usually runs some where around 8-10 strength. thats just 3 secs of skill disable (if the table on there is correct).
not overpowered, just a minor annoyance. it sure will make shadow prison sins think twice about which target they will hit.

Making skills that are borderline over powered especially before nerfing is definetely a way for them to make money. If they didn't add some potentially devastating skills then players would have an easier time overlooking the campaign and holding off or skipping on the purchase.
I'm personally a fan of the Assassin's Skill which seems to be lacking some sort of downside to it.
Lotus Strike : 10 energy, 12 second cooldown.
Off-Hand Attack. Must follow a lead attack. If it hits, this attack strikes for +10...22...25 damage and you gain 5...17...20 Energy.

sp sins wont be disarms target it will be more useful for linebacking wars because the skill disable will drain their adren and prevent them from gaining it while they are disabled.

didn't bother to look at every skill but from what ive seen they seem to be a tad overpowered. But it doesn't make a difference. They can change it now after we play the beta and when the game actually comes out. These skills are far from written in stone.

Hm, it looks like rangers that use barrage will finally get to spread conditions.

since this is NOT a preparation it seems like a new addition to my barrage build is here, i just wonder it will poison all of the enemies hit by barrage or just the main target, which is a perfect reason why We need to wait for gwen to come out before we start making decisions.
EDIT: the signet is poison sig for those who don't know. Oh, and atraphy (the skill that reduces your main at to 0) isn't that bad, at the most it only does it for 7seconds. that's pretty fair imo. And for the record, i don't play as necro

As for the signet that causes poison, Izzy has stated that it only poisons the first arrow that hits. So if you barrage a group of enemies all at once, it won't hit the target you chose, it won't hit all of them, it will hit the closest target (or whichever enemy gets touched by an arrow first).

something else you have to look at with some of those skills being over powered there are no elites and there are only going to be 150 new skills and 50 are going to be pve only and there are 100 skills listed so that is all the skills minus the 50 pve so some of those are going to be elites

I am pretty sure that it's been stated there will be no new elites in GW:EN. I've been reading and checking back on the new skills and monitoring the discussions, it's great that izzy and anet decided to allow so much player input on these skills and since the first posting alot of them have been changed, the preview weekend will give izzy a good opportunity for further feedback and more balancing before the release.
The skills not listed I'm guessing will include alot of the skills that will be related to environment and your standing with the races, a bit like the faction skills. The sunspear skills are pretty strong and great that they remain PvE only, gives us hard core PvE players a little more power without the risk of upsetting the balance for PvP, Necrosis is a good example of that a low cost, quick recharge and high damage skill (83 with my current sunspear rank), it relies on your foe being hexed but which Neco build that isn't an MM doesn't have a skillbar full of hexes? I love necrosis and hope to see more like it for PvE.
Izzy has a great job and is obviously very gifted when it comes to all thats involved in creating these skills but it did make me laugh when I read how he refers to changing skills as 'nerfs' a word Ive never liked and always thought 'balanced' more appropriate, guess i cant moan about people saying nerfed now then :)

theres still a fair few hexes in the bloodline but enchants are more common it's true, perhaps I should rephrase that to which curses build? but then someone would point out a non hex curses build so i'll just shut up now :)

the skil disarm is not much dif from blackout and if i remember it said atttack skills it will cause a little of nuasance to warrior and interupt ranger but not enough to ruin a match.
and whenever Anet lets out new skills if anything ever gets overpowered then it is weakened. have you never seen the first year of guildwars being opened and much of the second year there were skill changes like every month to find a balance. and some of those skills are no more overpowered than skills already in game.

much war hate, finally some hex/condition removal, few yet overbuffed skills to nerf.
