I'm getting tired of playing Guild Wars, so i was thinking, i love the Gameamp community, let see what other games they have.
So, before i get the Good vs. Evil edition, i would like to ask a few questions:
1.) What is the Monthy fee?
2.) Is there any other way to pay besides monthy?(quarterly, annually)
(To the people that have played GW)
3.) Do you think this game is harder than GW?
4.) Is it funner?
5.) More in depth?
6.) Is it really worth the monthy fees?
And my finaly question, is there anyway to test the game...like a 10 hour trial, a buddy key, or something like that?
If I've asked questions that have been asked before I'm sorry, i looked but didn't find any with the questions I had.

Yes to all. You can purchase game cards too from game stores like EB games. |

It’s still a strategy based MMORPG. Less PvP, but no easier or harder than GW.
Personal pojnt of view. No way you are getting a straight up answer on this one.
Didn’t play the later releases of GW.

Another personal point of view. GW tried to open a market for non monthly fee based MMORPG gaming, but it doesn’t seem to be catching on as the new big thing in MMORPGs.

Yes, they did throw out some trial/buddy codes for people to give the game a try, that were not good for any existing accounts.

I had a buddy code that I just got a little while ago. I can't remember what I got it for, maybe the 3 year mark or something. All of my friends that used to play the game had existing accounts and it wasn't any good for that. I never got a chance to give it to anyone, and I'll see if I can find it when I get home tonight.

Did you ever get a code B? I think I still have some left somewhere too. Lemme know if you need me to dig for them and I'm happy to pass them on to someone who can use them:)

I don't post here much, but I check this site all the time for information. Seeing this post, I just had to reply. Guild Wars was my first MMORPG. Hadn't really gotten in to the genre because I just didn't have the money for that monthly fee that just about every game had. Me and a few friends from work starting getting together to play Guild Wars one night a week. It was fun for a bit, but it steadily got to the point where things were just too difficult. None of us had the time to sit and farm for gold to get all of the higher end armor. I still haven't been able to finish the game through yet.
It was one of the girls that we played with who gave me a City of Heroes trial code. She kept bugging me to try it out. I finally downloaded it and started playing one night. I've been hooked ever since. Just got my 18th month badge. It's the best $16.23 I spend every month (live in Texas so I have to pay the tax). I have never once felt short on funds or fun. Never felt completely out-matched by the enemies, like I did in Guild Wars. It's much easier to find people to play with and not so much spam selling in chat. I look forward to every holiday season to see what they do in game. I never once felt like I wasn't getting my money's worth.
Not sure if that helps, but just thought I'd throw my 2 influence in. Let me know if Thundarpants was able to find you a trial code. I know I at least got a trial code with the game. Not sure if they expire but I'd be happy to send it your way.

I've got them hooked up Frayed. But I'll bet that someone else might be interested in a code. I've seen a couple different requests out there on the boards.
All of my close friends left the game a long time ago and I've been the only hold out. I felt like that code was just goin to waste. Hope they like the game.
