MM pool power? 

i have a Robot/FF MM, and currently has a leadership pool power.

Now that i've hit level 14, i'm wondering, Should i stick to leadership and get tactics, get photon grenades, detention field, or get another pool power?


I was thinking mabye a movent power, but most of them are melee and teleportation supposedly crashes all but the best comps.

help?

For my MM, before I deleted and remade him, I got fly. It's cool to be able to fly above the battlefield while directing your pets attacks. plus I just like flying...

plus when the robots fly with you, they fly with ROCKET BOOTS!!!

I don’t have any attacks on my MM. You will need at least one to help you get to level 20 but then I drop it.

Leadership - Assault and Tactics are all you really need. Maneuvers sucks.

Medicine - Aid Others and Aid Self

TP - Your bots may get stuck, TP Friend is a big help.

Travel - Fly or Super Jump. If you get fly skip group fly, it is very slow. Anyone here that has gotten it dropped it later.

I have a Thug/FF and I have Aid Other, Fitness and Fly. I was planning on getting Aid Self other then leadership because my Enforcers have leadership.

For a Force Fielder, I'd go for Leadership (Assault, Tactics, and maybe Maneuvers/Vengeance), Medicine (Aid Other, and maybe Aid Self), Fitness (Swift/Hurdle, Health, Stamina) and a travel pool. I would go for Flight (Hover, Fly), but Teleportation (Recall Friend, Teleport), Speed (Hasten, Super Speed) or Leaping (Combat Jumping, Super Jump) could work as well.

I would go with:
Fitness (hurdle/health/stamina)
Flight (hover/fly)
Leadership (tactics/assault)
Medicine (aid other/aid self)


I would have went with Teleport, recall friend for stray bots, however, you can always dismiss and resummon if needed. However, the Medicine pool may be better suited so you can heal if needed (yourself, teammates, and your henchmen). Not sure how end heavy FF is, but the Fitness pool may be necessary (not necessary for the Dark Miasma though, as i've never taken Fitness with it). Leadership is much needed for that boost to Acc and Dam = quicker dismissing of mobs and last but not least, you need a travel power. I choose Fly because it can be used in any and all terrains and the Hover 2-3 slotted can help you out with all the knockback, slow effects and hover provides a slight Def bonus as well.

after looking at some of the builds, i realized that none of them have any powers like pulse rifle burst, pr blast or photon grenades.

Is this because bots and buffs are much more important?

Well, that sums up a MM in a nutshell!

Henchmen and buffs/debuffs are what makes the MM successful. I've seen some people go Henchmenless (thug set) and they've made progress, but you're just a cheap knockoff of a AR/ Corr.

You can take the attacks that come in the Bot set, by all means, however, when you're Bots come of age, you'll find that you don't get a chance to use the personal attacks.

Think of your pets as your team and your the leader. Your job is to give your team a sucessful run.

The Pools I recommend takeing:

Leadership(Assualt and Tactics)
Concealment(Stealth and Invisibilty)
Fitness(Swift,Health and Stamina)

Leadership,To supply the extra Damage & Accuracy.

Concealment,To Be able to ghost missions and as a Travel Power.

The reason people don't take the attacks is because they focus on keeping the bots alive and let the bots focus on the damage. In my opinion I think Photon Grenade can be taken for the Extra AoE.

I think the biggest mistake most new MM's make is that they forget that the henchman ARE your pwrs. Your simply there to keep them alive and in the fight.

Best way to look at it would that your on a team and YOUR the support toon. In the rear with the gear!

As for pool powers:
Flight is my prefferance since it allows me to float above the fight and be able to better aid my henchmen.

Fitness or fighting: Fitness does do good for accuracy bonus, and damage but can eat endurance. Fighting is my prefferance simply because of the defense and damage resist.

Medicine: A must...

Teleport: as others have said bots are clumsy and tend to get stuck from time to time. TP Friend is nice to get them unstuck and back in the fight.

He is a Robot/Force field. You have the power Repair along with the Protector bots which can heal. Aid Other and Aid Self is not needed.

That totally depends on how you play him. If you take no fitness, no travel power, no henchmen, slot with TO's at level 48, then yeah, you will probably suck.

If you follow a build that has been posted in this topic, then you can't go wrong (look for my build in there).
