| Orc Monks and Light Armor |

Everyone knows that Light armor benefits on orc monks is messed up. Avoidance is "supposed" to work. But it doesn't. Right now Orc usually wear Heavy armor (such as myself) because the physical defense greatly outweighs the avoidance benefits that light armor gives. I hope they get this fixed in C1.

Has anyone really noticed an avoidance boost at all? I mean, not just orcs but other races as well? And how many points actually makes a difference? I honestly haven't seen any downside to using a shield and taking the -8 evade hit. But I'd like to hear from other classes that have a high initial evade like elves...

Avoidance on Orcs was perfect before release. At release they implimented a system that made Mobs not miss as much which screwed avoidance for Orcs. I know several Orcs that spent tons of points on Light Armor Mastery only to give up light armor for heavy after release due to getting beaten like a red headed step child. I'm level 28 and I wear nothing but heavy armor. Rumor is that Avoidance is fixed in C1 but it hasn't been confirmed. Would be a good question to ask someone who would know. *hint hint* :)

i just got a lion skin set a few days ago and sold it because it was just useless, will probably go to ring set or something now.

Now he just gets punished by every mob....

well...let's see...first of all...the orc is the worst race to avoid attcks...that's why their great hp and physicl strength...so...if the avoidance siystme woks or not it doesn't matter...always wear a heavy armor with an orc...it pwns pretty hard...i have a tyrant lvl 47 with drake leayher armor,,,and it s..cks...so i decide it to wear full plate armor...and pwns like hell...

Yes orc are designed for heavy armor. A orc doesnt need to dodge, its pure strength, rather than skill. They have massive amounts of STR and CON so really the evasion benefit that light armomr gives doesnt really matter that much... Sure to other classes like daggers and archers it does because they are quite fragile... But you can guess what armor to buy for an orc just by loking at him
They are made for heavy armor, they are destructive not fragile
