| Having some trouble with my Mastermind (thug/poison) |

First off, HI! I haven't been here in a really really long time :) Just got back into CoV/H after about a year hiatus, and now I'm loving it all over again. Anyway, having some trouble with my build and was wondering if I could get some advice. Especialy with the order of taking my powers, my travel power isn't until level 35. Some people see that and think I'm insane, but...there just seems to be so many more useful powers before that. Anyway, here's what I have so far:

41-47 I figure will be Patron powers, but I can't seem to figure out which suits my style best. All of them have some useful powers...not really sure. I could put all my slotting info also but I don't see how it's relevant honestly :) Anyway, any advice you can throw at me is appreciated, something about this build is just irking me for some reason. It may be because I'm out of practice, but it just doesn't feel right.
And since I'm sitting here anyway, why not? I'll throw up my robot/FF one also :P I'm bored XD

The build looks good. It could be your slotting that's the problem or simply you're rusty from the time off.
You have to remember that Poison is a very involved set. It takes all of your attention to debuff the mobs, so it may take you a while to get back into the swing of the constant action.
But double check how you're slotting and adjust accordingly, if needed.

That might be it actually, I'm used to playing Dark Miasma for my Masterminds so trying to do Poison might get to me for a bit. I don't actually normally try to debuff all the mobs, only the Lieutenants or higher. Maybe that's what's getting on my nerves so badly? I haven't really seen much point in doing much to the minions honestly.
I could just be used to debuffing basicaly every battle, my Dark Miasma would at least throw down Tar Patch with every fight.
I would post my enhancements, but I think that would take WAY to long to type out =/

IMO Maneuvers from Leadership is useless. I would just get Assault and Tactics maybe Vengeance if you team, cant use Vengeance on your pets. I would also skip Repair and get Aid Others and Aid Self, Repair has a long recharge and Aid Others can be used on your pets. With the Protector Bots Healing you wont need to heal as much Aid Others will work just fine.
As far as the travel power I always try to get mine at level 24. That way when I go back to Bloody Bay at any level I have a travel power. If you don’t plan on PvP zones it wont matter but if you do get your travel earlier. If you wait till level 35 and you go to BB when you are level 50 it will auto mal you to level 25 ( I think ) and you will not have a travel power.
I use a Hero / Villain Builder. It lets you pick your powers and slots. Here is a link to a good one I use. It just says a Hero Builder but it has Villains to. After you download it and install it run the built in updater to get all the current powers.

I actually do use a build planner, which is the only reason I know what levels I can get some of these powers. As far as PvP, I tend to avoid it for the most part other than doing some missions. Most of the times the people your fighting in PvP are asses so I just try to avoid them.
I had looked at the first aid skills and had considered picking them up, wasn't so sure about it. I do like Repair, I've seen it in action and it's nice to have in emergencies. May try to find room for both that and Aid Other. Of course this would mean giving up Patron powers, but they don't really impress me all THAT much for Masterminds anyway.
As far as Maneuvers, I would normally agree. But with the massive amount of +def that forcefields give you, having the extra ~5% isn't actually that bad (unless mechanics have changed since I last played). Having 5% evasion with no other abilities would be horrible, but if you already have 30-40%+ then the 5% actually becomes useful. Or am I wrong?
It's actually the same reason I was semi-considering it for my Thugs. Since guns cause a to-hit debuff, I was considering picking up Maneuvers to make that to-hit debuff just that much more painful.
Possably a re-arranging of powers for both...i'll edit them in as I do them. For thugs:

I would most certainly get Stamina. I've had a Robotics/Force Fields Mastermind as well, and he was end-heavy as hell! Setting up and shielding all six of your bots makes you have to cast 24 powers (6x2 shields, 6x2 upgrades) will drain you of all end you have, and then after you regain some to buff the rest of your bots, you will be drained of whatever you had left. Then, reshielding your bots every two minutes or whatever the duration is, is really heavy on the endurance... prepare to carry blues.
Aid Other is quite handy as well. Even though your bots will have great defence, and Repair is a great power, whenever an enemy hits through the defence, they hit them HARD. So a heal is handy.

My first Godless was a level 37 Bots/FF MM. I liked him a lot, I deleted him because of his name. I didn’t think the name matched the powers. I had TP as my travel but I didn’t have Hover and I didn’t have Fitness. Stamina would be a huge help but just for summoning and upgrading. FF is not an active secondary like Dark, Poison or Traps. You will need to bubble your bots every so often but not to the point you are completely out of End. After summoning and upgrading pop 2 blues and you are good to go. So anyway I am now making another Bots/FF MM, Son of Godless. Below is a build similar to what I will have. I will not be getting Repair, I will get the Rez from Med. I will not have TP travel I will get Fly. I will also get TP Foe because I am one of those asses the PvPs everyday : )

Thanks for the advice, although after getting to level 8 I'm already starting to think FF isn't right for me >.> having to rebubble all the time is driving me insane, they don't even last 5 minutes it seems like.
Guess i'll just focus on the Thug/Poison one =/ If you have any other advice on that one it's more than appreciated. It seems like it comes down to picking between combat powers or transportation powers first. Not really sure which is more helpful...
Anyway, both potential builds are hiding up there somewhere :) Let me know what you think if you get a chance to post.

Is it unnusual to be tripple slotting DO Accuracy's for most of my powers? They have an annoying tendency to miss without those, and even still they sometimes have a series of misses that drives me insane.
Also, what do you do with Brute? I've been hearing that there's some kinda glitch with it that makes you have to force it to move? Not sure what that means ^^;

I added a third accuracy to the thugs since they are going to be 2 levels lower than I am, which could mean 3-4+ lower than the bosses.
I gave my enforcer an accuracy buff, because every little bit helps. I do NOT want my minions to miss if at all possable.
Wishing I had a place to pull a slot from to tripple slot my gang war for accuracy, but oh well.
Balanced Paralytic Poison to get duration/recharge as far down as possable.
Gave my brute a time reduction instead of an end reduction. Since he's always in melee (and fairly durable) I want to be able to summon him more often just in case something goes wrong. I can always pop a blue to make sure I have the end to bring him out when needed.
More than likely there were other notes I was going to write, but they escape me right now. Any extra advice is still of course appreciated :) Always open to ways to improve my character (assuming I don't switch to thug/dark >_< the headache never ends).
