| Suggestion - 'Non-Elite' Minipet Beetle |

You know, when I found the beetles in Vabbi I instantly fell in love. So cute. And I'm a minipet hound, I love to get the minipets I enjoy having around. That's when I thought it would be awesome to have a Rain Beetle minipet. When I found out there was a beetle minipet, but it was a racing beetle and only given to the top 100 racers in Rollerbeetle Racing, I was a little bit less than enthusiastic about it.
A lot of people love the beetles, and I know several people who would love to have one as a minipet. So I propose, why not a regular beetle minipet for the rest of us? The top 100 racers can still have their distinctive racer beetle. The rest of us would like one too!
I really do hope this might actually happen; one of the things that really puts me off a game more than anything is introducing something desirable and then making it not difficult to get, but nearly impossible. Vabbian Armor I don't mind -- it's just expensive and takes time to get. But a minipet limited to 100 people? That's ridiculous.
Back in the day, when I played at Neopets, I eventually stopped because I realized there was absolutely no way I would ever get the paintbrush I wanted, and although they were desirable, they were more or less impossible for most people to get. I don't want to have the same experience with Guild Wars.
It's not an essential thing, but it would be nice to have the option to be able to have this very desirable minipet in a way that many can enjoy, rather than a way that very, very few can enjoy. I'm a big beetle fan! I hope that someone from Anet might actually take this under consideration.

I would support the plan, but it will make it very unfair cause alot of folks have done their utmost best to win the races.
My suggestion would be:
Yes, minipet beetles should be more ''frequent'' like 2 year Birthday pets.
No, the minipet beetles given to the winning racers should have some special marks on them or something in that area, so you can still have a ''unique'' looking beetle that you can't get by getting it in a Bday present.
IMO that's the best way, dont think you would like seeing your hard earned minipet turn into the most common object in the world?

From the image I saw, the minipet beetles given to the racers are distinctively different from regular beetles in the game. So there would be absolutely no question that the prize beetles would still be distinctively prize beetles.
Personally I would rather see more people enjoy a feature like this than have a handful of people have them who are going to hoard them and probably never bring them out anyway.
And while I liked Rollerbeetle Racing, it was still a little too problematic to attribute winning and speed to anything but luck. It's like pachinko, there's some modicum of control and skill, but the vast majority of it is based on the whim of the universe (or the game, as the case may be) at the time.
Anyway, I maintain that there ought to be a 'regular' beetle minipet, which I made clear in the original post would be different from the prize beetle minipet, hence the 'non-elite' label.

Key word there.Several thats about 3, last time I checked, and whats the point of having a unique thing like the rain beetle if everyone esle has one too? Even if it shows that they got in the top 100 for rollerbeetle racing...thats all gonna get pushed away when they roll out the new line of beetle minipets. Even if they have a cool graphical design, it just wouldnt be as special.Idk, maybe Im being a little too judgemental, but I think they should keep it as is. I have one of the beetle minipets, and I wouldnt want ppl that didnt even get in the top 100 get one too....that would make mine sort of pointless.....i dunno...just my thought.

I support this idea on the grounds that they make the minipet make the same squeaking sounds like the real monster.

every minipet will become rare, see at the Kunavang. When Factions came out, people sold them for 5k and now they are 100k + ...
This is all because off new players and new Campaings/expansions coming out. The price the Varesh minipet will raise when GW:EotN comes.
It is also unfair the American/European players that the Asians minipets ( Zhed, Vizu, ... ) will never be here.
I think A-net gave away the Mini Beetles to those 100 people, to let them see they have an achievment that nobody else has. I'am prety sure 80 people sold the minipet.

True, people that bring em out will recieve a spammage of ''WTB'' whisps, and if they bring it out, its probably just to brag themselves to death about how ''awesome'' they are :/

It's a special prize. If they do this for this minipet they will have to do it for EVERY special minipet that you have to win. That's just the way it is. I want a mini Island Guardian but I will most likely never even see one. That's the way rare items work.

I didnt sell mine ^_^ Im waiting till the price is right. OR who knows maybe I wont sell it. Maybe the special minipet was a special unlock for the Hall of monuments in Gw EotN that those 80ppl gave away and that the 80 ppl that bought them will get the special unlock for XD

good news anet are looking ofr away to give those asain minis to euro/amican areas, its in the same timeline ass sms shopping
but yeah i would like to see them, more minis the better, hopeflly those pollymock games and other eotn features will have minis as a reward, 2 per account maybe or that

If you want one, just do what every other person who wants a rare minipet does. Farm for it, and buy 1.
