Hey everybody, i just got a new computer and wanted to download a virus scan or anything that helps with detecting viruses and what not. I dont really wanna buy one so if you guys can tell me what you use it would be really helpfull. Thanks

well i use NOD32 now, they say it's one of the best. but before i downloaded it (don't lock me up because i want to protect my computer :o) my computer was also fine. before NOD32 i used AVG anti virus free edition. or something like that, that also worked fine.
If you're not sure about 1 antivirus program, use two antivirus programs. NOT MORE THEN THAT! if you use more, you're computer will get awfully slow.

i use AVG http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/ and it works great.

yea, AVG owns. its only free anti-virus i know of that doesn't use up too much system resources.
