Okay, so - I noticed that many people have been rolling an NRG/Elec Brute, and it looks like a LOT of fun :-D
SO far I got him up to lvl 11, and it's been pretty tough soloing, so I usually end up trying to find a team.
Things SHOULD pick up once I get to level 16 and get KB protection, since right now that's an incredible annoyance!! >.<
The plan is to get to 15 off of teams/newspaper mishes/whatever. Then once I hit 15, head straight to BB and run PvP missions there, since they tend to go 1-3 bubs per mission. A friend of mine did this with a NRG/NRG Brute, occasionaly duoing mishes with someone else. He leveled fast and easy...so it looks like something good to try out.
A solo Energy/Elec Brute would be VERY helpful - ty :-D

Energy/ Brutes are not the best to solo with, but that doesnt mean you cant solo, cause you can, i recommend getting whirling hands, and if you dont want it, respec out of it in later levels, but it's PBAoE damage will help take out mobs faster, and once you get power sink, it taunts foes to come and attack you, aswell as draining their end, and power sink + whirling hands is a pretty good combo to take down mobs.
Here's the build i used to go from 1 to 50, it was a lil slow leveling, as i solo'd, but once i hit 50 i respec'd into a pvp build as that was what this toon was for, that and RSF's, note this was from back before IO's were put into the game so i had to use the standard and crappy SO's, but now most lower levels are getting money from alts or friends and buying IO's very early. I didnt fill in lvl 41 and up cause that is your choice, i went with Mace Mastery for the immob and -fly for pvp, and for the final power pool i went with fighting, again this is for pvp.

You may want to try out this build, it's the one I'm using. I'm trying to die as much as possible to get the debt badges for the accolade, but it's just not working! I'm way too powerful!
