The Eternal Grove/Gyala Hatchery HM

Last two missions I need before I get Guardian of Cantha.

Has anyone completed these on HM and can give any advice? What did you use? Hench/Heroes?

Also if anyone is willing to help me out ig, please let me know.

For Gayala, I suggest getting a bonder to bond the turtles. It helps a lot. I have never done it in HM, but i noticed it helped in NM.

RE: The Eternal Grove/Gyala Hatchery HM

For Gyala simply do the trick mentioned on the guildwiki page where you don't have the turtles move (it still works despite what some people say)

Eternal grove HM is hands down the hardest mission in the game. Me and my friend were using a ranger and paragon when we did it along with 1 other barrage a healers boon monk, Sod monk, 2 MMs , and splinter orders.

Any skills that beneft both sides especially in the afflicted fight are very useful IE orders, spirits, LoD, and/or heal part. Other than orders heroes dont use these very well.

Our strategy was to split up into 2 teams during the fight with the luxons (solo with only hero and hench is insanely difficult if you wish to use this strategy). The less protected team in our case the one with out the paragon took 2 juggernauts over to his stairway and the more protected one took the other. When the siege turtles showed up we fought outside the base each taking out the one on our side if the center one showed up we would take it out from inside the base using long/flat bows. The afflicted fight is where it gets hard we set up dust traps on the steps and placed a spirit of extinction in the middle of the base. Our 2 groups fought back to back inside the base (tree singers are targeted less in HM than NM) just within ear shot of eachother. Using splinter weapon on the bunch up groups along with the spirit of extintion alloud for them to be killed very quickly. The first boss comes from the left and splitting 5-3 for this fight is acceptable. the second and third bosses come from the right and you should be able to have all 8 safely on that side at this point.

Hope it helps if you need advice/help on a mission pm me ingame (name D V D A) although if you can beat eternal the rest of your legendary guardian should be easy.

RE: The Eternal Grove/Gyala Hatchery HM

The exact same two that I need before the title, too. :-| Looks like our playing times don't coincide though, since I'm working on Geography coursework atm, and probably won't be able to play Guild Wars for another five or so hours.

Anyways, if I do happen to come online at the same time as you, I'd be more than happy to team with you to try and do one. The only problem being that I'm a Warrior too. :S

Good luck with them. ;-)

EDIT: A good strategy that I've heard of for Eternal in HM is to split the group into two identical teams, each consisting of a Warrior, Monk, SS Necro and MM.

The Warrior helps by tanking the enemies as they arrive at the gates, allowing the SS to nuke them with anti-melee (without any form of anti-melee, the Warriors sure can be tough to take down in time to meet the Siege Turtle). Once they are dead, the MM can gain strength also.

This team would however be practically impossible to form as a PuG, and would require guild/alliance input to get the correct roles filled. It's in no way the only way to complete the mission in HM, and probably isn't even the best, but I've heard from one or two people that have done it that it can be easier than most team builds. ;-)

A guildy and I finally were both on with the time to do the missions. 2 Humans and 6 heroes. Only took us 1 try for each mission.

Gratz Zoaka! I would be so grateful if you could post the team builds used, as well as a brief summary of how you did them. Finding 8 players of the correct profession, able enough to complete these two missions can be a challenge.

RE: The Eternal Grove/Gyala Hatchery HM

Gyala Hatchery

Team Setup:

Me - War/Tank/Wall - OQMT00IS5xvAYwj/lrSHRmIAAA
Hero - MM - OANDUsldO4BqwRFo9FBjVVBA
Hero - SS nec - OAZDY5xZO5hzgQbMUVhFIDBA
Hero - SF/MS - OgBCoMzDdbs20AGIDjBuQAA
---above were taken by me---
Hero - SF/MS - OgBCoMzDdbs20AGIDjBuQAA
Hero - Prot monk - sry dont have his temp
Hero - Full Heal monk - OwAS0YIPZE66G5u5RkIxV0I
Guildy - Full Heal Monk - OwAS0YITZE0VbE3NeE5gxVoR

We took the back route, slowly pulling each. I was puller and made sure to wall. Long as you wall and pull slowly this part is easy.

After clearing the back we got the turtles. The first group is a little trick. When ever fighting a group put the smoke can in the young turtles and also flag the MM in the middle og them. Kill off all the Juggers and clean up the rest. From here its smooth sailing.

RE: The Eternal Grove/Gyala Hatchery HM

Eternal Grove

Team Setup:

we split up into 2 groups each using the same builds(using some differences)

my group:
Me - Tank/Wall/eoe - OQITERqa5xvAYwj/F+2VB6IAAA
Hero - MM/Aegis - OANEUshd95gHoCHVg2XMgUVFAA
Hero - SF/MS/AoE - OgBCoMzDdbs20AGIDjBuQAA
Hero - Healer - OwAS0YIPZE66G5u5RkIxV0I

Guildies group:
Hero - Tank/Wall - OQMT00IS5xvAYwj/lrSHBkIAAA
Hero - MM/Heal Party - OANDUshtO4BqwRFo9F/IVVBA
Hero - SF/MS/AoE - Same Template
Guildy - Healer - OwAS0YITZE0VbE3NeE5gxVoR

Once we entered I took the left side with my heros, and my guildy took the right. I took 1 jugger and my guildy took 2(due to using Koss).
*note* Dont use eoe during the beginning, it is for Afflicted ONLY

We killed the groups of warriors that came and once they stopped I ran up and killed the middle turtle(dont worry about the rangers).

After the middle turtle was dead we took our place at the side, killed off anything else that came, and then we each killed the turtle on our own side.

repeat running back, defending and running to kill a turtle.

Once the afflicted came i put eoe in the middle (so both groups got it), and we each took our sides again. Using the tanks/juggers/minions as a wall the afflicted went down fast with eoe and the nuking.

Each time one of us finished a group we helped the other with theirs.
