Hi folks, Today i decided to go for the title vanquisher in tyria. My main charachter is my ranger and the only who has Ascalon :D. But when i tryed to use in the 4 man arena a build like this :
Healer hero
Tanker hero
SS hero
I totally got owned by some flash gargoleyes (althought i had Bha).
So i hope you guys can help me with making a good build for my heroes+Ranger to vanquish some arena's :D
greets
Rob

I haven't done any vanquishing, but i can suggest you take mantra of that damage type you're most facing/have difficultys with in this case Mantra of Lightning.
EDIT: Spelling.

Change out your SS for an MM. Take it slow and watch your monk energy.

From what I know, you'll want to be a Broad Head Arrow Ranger. You can keep all of the casters dazed so that you can easily interrupt them.
I suggest that or you could be a Splinter Barrager if you find that the mobs in the area tend to be tightly packed. S N A P S H O T and I both vanquished Gandara, the Moon Fortress using this build with very little trouble.
A third suggestion is to start with an area like Scoundrel's Rise. The starter areas in all three campaigns tend to be very difficult because of the limited party spots. And also, if you can use human players. That way you can easily strategize on what everyone in the group needs to do for each mob.
I have also found that this podcast has plenty of tips on vanquishing.
I hope I helped!

I suggest looking on Wiki, and pick out the smaller area's 1st with only like 9 monsters :) then gradually go up and up :D

Was given this idea from Aznese Guy on this site: take a divert hexes monk, a n/rt with mostly resto skills, and he mentioned 2 conjure tanks. Seeing how you are a ranger you could use a r/w build with apply poison and use an axe or sword with some blocking skills to help keep you alive. Just make sure you don't go to fast because the popups can mess you up real quik outside of ascalon. When I did it I killed some stone elemenetals and some gargoyles then went after a few grawl that way if you die while fighting them you have other foes to kill to remove death penalty. Then I repeated that until everthying was dead.
