buying game

ok...both my brother and i are lookin to finally pick up the game tomorrow, but i was wondering...do i need to buy 2 separate games along w/ 2 separate accounts for us both to play at the same time, or can i just buy 1 game, install it on his computer, and then onto mine and use 2 accounts?
please let me know asap! it'd save me like 30 bucks...thanks in advance

RE: buying game

I'm not sure, but I believe you only need one. What you do is then "Refer a Friend" your brother, and he starts to pay for his account. I'm not sure if he will need to buy a account code , but even if he does, it will give you a free month of game play.

He will start to pay for his account, but he needs to activate it first, and you need a retail code for that.

So yes, you will need to buy two copies of the game in order to make two accounts.

RE: buying game

My recommendation:

Buy 2 copies of the game. Make sure it's the Good vs Evil edition, so you get both games and the extra character slots.

Install the first copy and set up your account.

Refer a friend, sending your brother a referal code.

Set up your brother's account with the referal code.

"Upgrade" his account, using the retail code from the second box.

By doing this, I think you'll get an additional free month of service on the initial account.

And Ron would know because he will not have to pay for the game for probably a year because of his excellent timing!

RE: buying game

You don't have to buy 2 copies-just 1 and then the one who didnt use the cerial code, buy one from nc soft store and there you go.

RE: buying game

NCSoft Store: $29.99
Most other Retail Outlets: $19.99

Technically, if you want to go through NCSoft, you can buy just from them, you don't NEED a box/CD. You can download the whole game (and likely will have to since the version on the CDs is old).
