| Can this laptop play GuildWars? |

My brother wants to get a laptop to play GW but I'm not sure about the Graphics Card this laptop has.
The laptop he is looking at is HERE
Is this graphics card any good? and can it be changed for a better on? if so, what would be a good graphics card to replace it with.

not sure but i doubt it. i had an intel something on mine and it couldn't play guildwars.

hmmm, i would say yes to low detail, im not so sure if you wanted to go higher though. dont expect anything amazing from laptops when games is the subject.
why does he need a laptop anyway ?
edit: oooooooh lol if thats $1000 (£500 where i come from) you'de be laughing in the uk. for £500 you can make a top-performance PC for that, i did =D

ABLE TO PLAY
I never said anything about graphics, he will see the game running, but graphics, response time and frames per second are on a whole other level ^^

probably but you won't like the performance.. also stay away from HP (telling you this as an experienced computer technician... they are horrible)

the CPU and RAM is good but that graphics chipset is questionable.
when you what to play games that is of higher detail level than PS1 games on a laptop, its a good idea to find a laptop that has its own dedicated video ram. the ones that share the system ram are terrible, trust me.
my laptop has a ATI 9100 graphics chipset but still sucks at running GW cuz it shares the system ram.

Not sure about the GFX card but here are my specs and i can play on 800x600 on Mediumish.
32mb GeForce4 4200 GO
1.6 Ghz
1 Gig of Ram

The GFX are better but the RAM isnt 2 GB and it only has 1.6 Ghz

GMA950s are in Macbooks and macbooks play gw good so id say yes.

GW runs fine on my laptop and I only have the 915 chipset, a single core 1.86 ghz processor, and 1 gb of pc2100 ddr ram. I have all my setting set to low except for the one that effects armor detail which is on high. You should have no problem at all running GW on that laptop.
