Friends List

I'm sure many of you have been PM'D in game by someone looking for help, or someone was selling an item and you wanted it, someone massages you in anyway (you wanna respond but can't, and they PM again saying "you there" "noob" whatever it be if you don't respond) and they are set to Do Not Disturb, Offline, or Away (You are forced to not be able to respond. I was thinking a simple solution to this was to make it so that if a player is set "Do Not Disturb" or "Offline" (making it so others cant pm the person) then the person set to Do Not Distrub or Offline cant PM other people, giving the person a heads up that they are trying to talk to someone but there target cant respond, or preventing abuse, like my next subject.

Same thing with ignore list, most people abuse someone through PM and set their target to ignore, so they can still abuse the person but the person can't respond, having to go through the friends list, type in the name of the A-hole PM -ing them. Simply this: If player sets another player to ignore list, since the ignored player cant talk to the ignorer, the ignorer cant talked to the ignored. Simple as that.

Another cool thing would be a "friends Only" Status so that only people on your buddy list can talk to you and you can talk to them, but if someone isn't on your buddy list, then they can't talk to you and you can't talk to them.

Thats my two-cents on the Whisper Function/Friends List system. Hope you like it.

~Chris

Edit: My spelling Sucks, had to fix a lot.

100% deffinately. So annoying when you kill somone then they try to nub you out and you want to say something back but... This player is set to DND. wth

Lol the one thing runescape has over gw xD. 5000000% deffinately. They should just copy Runescape with the chat system because its really good.

Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music the add this to your signature.

Instead of them just not sending the PM, it comes back with a message saying something like \"Your status is currently set to <.whateveritmaybe.>. The person you are attempting to message will not be able to respond.\"

Same thing with ignore list, most people abuse someone through PM and set their target to ignore, so they can still abuse the person but the person can't respond, having to go through the friends list, type in the name of the A-hole PM -ing them. That would be nice, it gets annoying when someone starts arguing with you, then ignores you and continues to message you.

Another cool thing would be a "friends Only" Status so that only people on your buddy list can talk to you and you can talk to them, but if someone isn't on your buddy list, then they can't talk to you and you can't talk to them.

I personally wouldnt like that, that means every time you want to message someone to buy something, you would have to add them to your friend list.

RE: Friends List

Or they could have a filter like Runescape(Omg yes i said it) Where you can set it on Friends Only so only your friends can PM you. That would be nice.

We fear what we do not understand......Yet, when we do understand, we feel entitled to know more. Why are we so afraid one moment, and so curious and greedy the next?
