hey i was wondering what the best pve animal was ive heard its the crocodile or black widow or bear so i was wondering what do you think is the best?

bear, if i remember corectly use a skill that does nothing, so it lowers their dps cuz they use it often. I personally like reef lurkers. I really want to see if GW:EN has any new pets though

i heard that the "Brutal Mauling" skill the bears use will take on the effect of certain shouts and stuff of Paragons, like Anthem of Flame. i could be wrong, so tell me if i am.

yep there are 3 new pets in GW:EN i think it's a polar bear, snow wolf and mountain eagle

i personally like the black moa though looks cool =) AND it scares the ppl in front of the sunspear great hall when u bring it with u and run to them XD

i doubt my ranger will get a new pet because he has a spider.
grape is such a good pet so i'll keep him. the polar bear and snow wolf look cool so i dont know my grapey poo might have to fight for his coveted place as my rangers pet.

I MIGHT trade in my black bear for a polar bear. Reason I chose a black bear(this was before factions even), simple, I wanted the largest pet possible, seeing as the bear, at lvl 20, is the largest tamable pet, that was my solution. Also, I wanted my pet to tank, so dmg output didnt matter to me, and now with paragon's skills(some at least) working on bear's, my pet has an advantage over others.
Again, I might, or might not trade my pet for a polar bear, I like the skin better, but I dont play my ranger very often.

anthem of flame only affects party members,
and it says very cleary here (under pet rules)

Pets are not party members, only allies.
So i don;t think the bear skills triggers anthem of flame.

Still works with at least "Go for the Eyes!", which, increases their chance of hitting for a critical when they use it. Therefore with a paragon with that skill, it does give the bear at least equal DPS when compared to the others, but a cool animation to go alone with it. :P
