For now i would recommend using firefox and opera until the powers have sorted it out.

I also have avg... (sence its free) And also whats the big deal about firefox or opera. I dont see why I have to switch browsers to ignore the fact that "The Powers" cant get this removed. (sorry if its a little harsh)
Firefox and Opera dont have a direct link to the OS and are known for better protection then IE.
IE lacks way behind concerning security and privacy security. IE lets malware and harmfull scr ipts through whereas firefox and opera blocks it.
Sorry to say; but if you want to bash your computer up ASAP; work in IE :S
And we cant prevent every hacker from coming on the network and trying to ruin things for people. Guess there will always be people who for some reason find joy in ruining things other people make and or accomplish.

Perhaps you had the professional version installed? Try the home version. That said, AvG does just fine for me.

I use firefox for an internet browser because it has better protection than IE. My anti-virus program is McAfee VirusScan + Firewall + AntiSpyware, but I don't know if it's free because I got it so long ago and I don't remember how I got it. Anyway, McAfee has been really good with detecting and deleting viruses for me...plus it scans my emails too for potential viruses and worm activity. If it is free, I strongly recommend McAfee... I haven't had a virus in a looong time thanks to it.

I use eTrust EZ Antivirus, firewall etc.. and I don't have any problems from this website on IE. I only use IE as my dad says that firefox is crap (exact words not used) as far as firefox being praised so much for its protection. idk i just don't use it.
u just have to register your avast home on their website(IT'S ALL FREE) and they'll send u a key for avast antivir.
i'm using avast and i never got that msg,i also use opera as my default web browser(and mozilla sometimes,when some sites don't open properly in opera)
