ANet releasing too much?

I don't know about everyone else, but doesn't seem like ANet just releases everything about the game (ie - GW:EN) before it actually comes out?

I mean, we already know most of the game's content.

We know:

-Gwen is alive
-heroes' names AND professions AND where you can generally pick them up AND how many there are AS WELL AS most of their backstories (that's lame, we could've found that out in-game)
-dungeon names (COME ON! Wasn't this supposed to be a surprise?) AND how many of them there are
-new gameplay such as minigames (as well as their names, and their basic gameplay), environmental conditions (like having to dodge fireballs spitting out of a furnace; from the 10-minute gameplay video)
-regions of Tyria that are to be expanded upon
-parts of the storyline (Gwen, Pyre Fireshot, the Asura, Norn, Ebon Vanguard)
-the introduction of a new shader engine (or something, to create those forest fires; from the 10-minute in-game video)

And more that I can't think of atm.

Sorry for the rant, but I guess I've just been getting less excited about each new release because ANet keeps telling everyone everything that they're doing. I, personally, would ave been happy knowing that GW:EN took place in Northern Tyria, was based around 18 multi-level dungeons, and introduced new heroes. Anyways, isn't it more fun finding out stuff on your own..? =S

EDIT:

From the list above, major speculation was going on when people started seeing Gwen at the end of the trailer. Then, a few days later, ANet confirmed it. =/

I don't mind too much, each new release just gets me more excited. I see what I'm currently missing and really want to partake. I think that's the general marketing strategy. I'd rather know how good a game is going to be before I purchase it anyway.

It's called "advertising".

After people hear how great the game is it makes more people want to buy it.

RE: ANet releasing too much?

All they're doing is hyping the game up, and hopefully it will live through our expectations. If the game is as good as it seems it will probably be the best chapter of GW (I know it's only an expansion). Also just because you have seen what they showed us, it doesn't mean you're not going to get a few surprises, for instance:

1. How we acquire those heroes.
2. How Gwen survived, and how much of a role will she have in the story line.
3. New weapons, armor, rewards.
4. How big and how different each dungeon is going to be from one another.
5. The bosses, and what they are, what they drop, how the encounters are going to be, how we get there.

Anyways those are just a few things that we won't know till the game comes out and we play it.

RE: ANet releasing too much?

Well I agree to some extent.
It much like a movie trailer. If you read all the reviews and search the internet you are bound to find out what happens (take Harry Potter for example). In my case I don't pay attention to those articles or post and therefore I have no clue what the heroes names are, what the dungeons are or how many levels they have etc.... The only thing I wish they would have kept under wraps is that Gwen is alive.

The moral of the story is if you don't want to know don't read it. They are not cramming it into your head so be like me ignore the articles and post about Gwen and you will be able to experience like you want.
