Final Fantasy, what do u think?

ok its simple write the following, hat you like and ont like about final fantasy, favourite game, character, summon and villain like this

Like: Battle System
Dislike: Rarity
Fave Game: 7
Fave Char: Vincent
Fave Summon: Bahamut
Fave: Villain: Sephiroth

Fave: Villain: There is too many. I think the queen who rocks though, battle wise that is.

I think it'd be hot if they came out with a full pack of FF for the computer. Every FF from 1-12, except 11. Maybe the same time as 13.

But alas, I think I'm doomed to dream.

ok well i love love LOVE FF...but....it's been slacking...

Personally...i don't think they have made a real GOOD one since 10.

let me explain...

FFXI: should have simply been called Final Fantasy Online, they should not have named it XI because it is not a TRUE FF game...oh and it sucked...it was one of those online games where you had to quit your job and stay home if you wanted to get anywhere in it...VERY time consuming.

FFX-2: ick...need i say more.

FFXII: this one bothered me ALOT, i mean i beat it but only because i have to play the FF games lol.
here is my problem with it:

first off...Vaan...seriosuly what a WEAK character...they made it seem like he was the main character but he had almost NOTHING to do with the storyline. It was pointless to even have him in the game when clearly Ashe was the main character...it was all centered around her. Vaan looked stupid...dressed stupid... and everytime he spoke i wanted to throw something at the screen...how do you even compare him to Cloud, Squall, Zidane and Tidus...you can't, he was a pointless secondary character in FFXII and he was SOOOOOO dumb and ERG!.

Next....personally i think the storyline was waaaaay to complicated....the old style langauge was confusing at times...there were a few times when i was like "wait...what did he mean by that?"...what am i Shakespear!...there were so many name drops for cities that it got really confusing to tell everything apart.

license system...seriously...they couldn't come up with anything better then that?

i didn't mind the new battle system although i would prefer random battles...

i know lots of people loved XII....i just don't see it...i want a classic FF game...

AND HONESTLY!!! REMAKE FFVII!!!!!!!....does Square-Enix not realize that if they remade FFVII for PS3 it would sell just as much if not more then the original...EVERYONE who played it would buy it again just to play it with better graphics...it's a money train that i don't understand why they haven't taken advantage of it yet...they know everyone wants it....

I love and always will play FF...but c'mon Square...put some effort into it!....ok i am done rambling now...lol.

If you read any of the interviews with the FFXII Director or game programmers they tell you Van is NOT the main character.In this game your watching the story from Van's point of view as the events of a nation unfold around him. But he's not a main character in the classical sense.

As for the Licence system, That was sweet. If you knew how to use it you could have a near unbeatable team. In the old games a fighter was a fighter and a mages was a mage and if you lost any of these elements in a fight you were toast. With this system you could have a team of super Palys, Strong fighters AND magic users.Even Van became useful after a few upgrades

And as for the FFVII Remake:
That eggs been hatched since FFVII came out. Everybody was upset at the ingame cloud character with his Popeye arms and standin' a whoppin' 3ft nuthin'. Especially after FFVIII came out with Squall's cooler looking avatar. This was further spurred on by the PS3 Tech Demo highlighting the power of the system by showcasing a revamped and enhanced 3D rebuild of the FFVII opening.Will S-E remake 7? Me, I doubt it. With all the FF7 side stories not to mention FF12 and 13 each with their own side stories on multiple platforms I don't see where they have the time. Even with the remakes like FF 1 and 2 all they did was add in CG cut scences and tweak audio and video. But no great over haul in any respect. Square has never remade a game no matter how popular it was and after all these years I doubt they ever really will but hopefully on some distant anniversary they'll grace us with a little FF joy......But I won't hold my breath.

And for the record:
I like all FF games even FF2 and FFX-2. I got no problem playing a female lead character which seemed to be everybodies main beef with the game. If that's the case everybodies gonna hate playinig Lighting in FFXIII. And for all you cretins out there SHAKESPEARE'S THE MAN!!!!

i knew how to use it. i had the whole board maxed out for each character so they all did the same thing. this made it WAAAAAY to easy...it was a system for amateurs. The best part of the others was learning to survive with what you had. With FFXII EVERYONE could heal, EVERYONE could use black magics EVERYONE could rez....it simply took the challenge out of the game...to be honest i only died ONCE during the WHOLE GAME...why? because like you said your team was unbeatable. The challenge was taken away.

i agree. as much as i would like them to i don't think they will, mainly for the reason you stated above. AS long as they continue with some FF7 side stories i would be fairly content. I think it would be awsome for them to make a game like Dirge of Cerberus except useing Cloud...it would be sweet.

i had NO PROBLEM'S HAVING A GIRL AS THE LEAD CHARACTER. fact is that game might as well have been a porn. For example...think back to the part where paine, yuna and rikku were bathing together in the hot springs...splashing each other and suductively giggling and what not...noone can tell me that that game wasn't the slighest bit sexist. They spent more time turning those characters into eye candy and barely any time into the game itself. I found it to be abit over the edge...i really don't think the problem was that it was all girls. The problem was the storyline lacked in every area...it was just not what a final fantasy game is meant to be. Don't get me wrong i have no problems with attractive females...but when i saw some of the scenes ESPECIALLY the one mentioned above...i was in shock...i was expecting clothes to start flying...so i don't remember coming across that i didn't like it because of the female characters but that certainly was not the case.

as for Shakespear...i don;t hate him or love him...but i will admit that his writing is hard to follow. I just found the dialog in FFXII was WAAAY to wordy and poorly constructed...i have spoken with MANY people who agree with me...there are prob tons of people who enjoyed it, i just found that most of it didn't makes sense.

for the record:
you have made some excellent points, you can tell you are a TRUE FF fan and you have all the respect in the world from me...these are just my thoughts on it.

I believe it is FF4 or 5. One of those, of course, I'm not sure which one FF2 is North American style, but...it's when of those.
